Cruelty-Free Haircuts! - Edit
I found this place because I was searching for a vegan, cruelty-free, sustainable salon. Akemi opened in 2006 and was a salon with all vegan products and vegan hairstylists! The stylists have changed over the years but they continue to use sustainable and cruelty-free products. I was assured that everything used on my head, including products for highlights, shampoo and conditioner, and all styling products were vegan and non animal tested. Also he didn't use foil for my highlights and they turned out great! Michael gave me an amazing cut and color, even though my hair was probably quite a project for him (lots of dye history in my hair and also henna), but he got through it very professionally. He asked lots of questions about my hair, and was very careful with the process (which I appreciate!) and gave me what I wanted. He also cut my husband's long hair for donation and his haircut looked amazing too! Definitely go to Michael for your cruelty-free hair needs!
