Nailed it! - Edit
I was absolutely stoked to come across Ripple when exploring the Shinjuku area. I had the chilli cheese fries with extra cheese and gauc (why not go all out 😅) and I was definitely left happy and satisfied. I also purchased a drink and cookie from the friendly, fast and english speaking staff. Although I wouldnt say it's cheap, the menu is easy to understand and offers a delicous variety of burgers, fries and drinks with treats available at the counter.

Great for a quick vegan bite - Edit
We stumbled upon this place and were pleasantly surprised to find vegan burgers and fries in Tokyo. I got the vegan chicken burrito, which was only okay (wouldn’t recommend). My boyfriend got the cheeseburger, which was really good (would recommend). We found the atmosphere cozy and lively, and the other patrons were happy to make room for us to squeeze in. Not sure what MattHunter is complaining about in the review before—everywhere in Tokyo is small and crowded ha! It makes my heart happy to see a vegan restaurant packed to the brim. This place is great! And they have sister restaurants with different menus in other areas too, which we might check out.

Ok food - Edit
Had the burger and a salad. It was ok but nothing special. Good to see vegan places though. I might go to one of their other branch that serves more authentic food.

A disappointing box (not even a cafe) - Edit
Not really a restaurant, more a rake away place with a few seats . Food isn’t bad but the atmosphere is well, less than a cafe. This is what I hate about vegan places. They make me feel like a 5 year old, begging to be allowed a seat and table to eat my food. If you can call it “hip” or “casual” you might excuse it. I just think it’s awful to sit at a communal table on stools and eat average burgers. Meh.

Pros: Ok vegan burgers, Ok fries
Cons: No seats - just stools, Fat communal tables with no privacy , Tiny and cramped

Everything here is vegan and delicious! Not traditional Japanese food but amazing burgers, mac n cheese etc. The space is also lovely and quiet in the middle of Shinjuku.

First ate here 2.5 years ago. It’s still as good as ever. Make sure to try the French Toast (without sour cream stuff).

Plastic cups and cutlery (>д ) - Edit
The food is awesome, the burgers are heaven, but the fact that all cups, cutlery and straws are throw away plastic is more like (`^´)>

Get the falafel burger and mac and cheese! - Edit
Great little burger place in a convenient location! I definitely recommend the mac and cheese! No complaints about the food - but giving it a 4 star since the price inhibits me from coming frequently.

Great staff! - Edit
Western style vegan food. Everything I had was really good, but the soup and dessert were amazing, definitely try the tiramisu!! They have other stores w/different menus. All staff speaks english and is absolutely lovely!! They even recommend other veggie spots in Tokyo. It's a bit more expensive than other places, but worth it!

Cozy and Delicious food - Edit
I found out about this place on Google first as one of the top vegetarian food restaurants and I had to make a sincere (personal) effort to reach here with my SO. And all I can say is we were well rewarded. The place is cozy with a kind staff and their Falafal burger was off-the-charts tasty! Since that day, I have been wanting to visiting this place again for having that delicious burger!

Best vegan food I’ve had in my life - Edit
Definitely the best vegan mac&cheese I’ve had so far in my life; I’m craving it as we speak. The cheeseburger was also to die for. For dessert we had the caramel pudding and it was delicious.

decent Mac & cheese. that aside, small quantity, slightly flat & oily burger patties but decent taste (the most recommended one). Burrito just ok too, & definitely overpriced. Nothing special.

Good junk food - Edit
I got a chicken style burger, fries and ginger beer and my partner got the cheese burger also with fries. We both enjoyed the food, it was quick, tasted nice and was a welcome change from temple food & vegan ramen which we had been having most days in and around Tokyo. We went to the sister cafe in Kyoto and I preferred that they had a wider range of foods to choose from in that one.

Mushy burgers! - Edit
Apparently everyone loves this place but I don’t understand how you can call something a burger when it’s mushy and not meaty at all. Call it a mushroom or bean burger please! So, I’m a nut shell, steer clear of the mushy burger.
Read moreThe chicken sandwich is a little better but not much flavor. The best thing on the menu is the burrito bowl with pieces of veggie chicken.
Expect to spend about ¥1,000 or about 10 bucks for a burger with no sides. You’re gonna be hungry still after that burger because it’s so small, so make sure you get a side. The soup is usually something not so appealing, so probably best to avoid that too.
Veganism isn’t going to go mainstream in Japan with prices this high and lackluster food. Try it out if you must, obviously the reviews here say I’m probably wrong.
Pros: Vegan food
Cons: Expensive, Small portions, Not the best burgers
