Amazing Fondue

Quite pricey but nice. The box taster set is really fun and we loved the cheese fondue. The cheesecake desert was incredible.

Modern Japanese cuisine

The food was fresh and full of flavour, carefully orchestrated and arranged. It was beautiful and a real treat to eat. It wasn't cheap but well worth it.

Bakery was great

If you’re tying to have lunch or dinner, reserve a table ahead of time of you won’t get in at a reasonable hour, not at this location anyways. Otherwise the bakery is great, I highly recommend the tiramisu, and snowball cookies! Expensive, but soooo worth it.

Pros: Vegan baked goods

Cons: Restaurant is busy, reserve table ahead

Decent meal, nice atmosphere

We arrived for dinner just before last order. They were out of a few items but that’s not shocking given our late arrival. I ordered the fried rice with curry and my partner the Spanish omelette. The service was good and very quick. The curry rice was pretty good but not great. It honestly tasted a bit like something I could make at home. The curry was mixed in the rice - I was anticipating more of a liquid curry with rice on the side. My partner’s “omelette” was also just ok. I was a flavorful tofu block? We love tofu so liked the meal but it wasn’t the best we’ve had by any means.

Pros: Vegan menu

Cons: Only ok food , Pricey

Unique tasting experience

Such a wonderful atmosphere with kind staff and special tasting menu. Yes, it is pricey, but is totally worth it. All the food has nice Japanese twist. The fluffy pancakes are an absolute must - the best vegan pancakes I have ever had! The take away dessert pots (tiramisu, pudding, etc.) are ok - do get the pancakes rather if you are eating in.

Pros: Bento box tasting menu, PANCAKES!, Atmosphere with little blankets :)

Over rated and over priced

Fresh and vegan but absolutely lacking any of the subtlety of Japanese cooking. It feels like they dumped in the spice drawer to make up for something.
Not worth the price or the hassle of getting a table.

Not that it cannot work but catchup on a tofu Spanish omelette just feels like you’re not trying very hard.

Pros: All options are vegan , Desserts available to go

Cons: Expensive , Heavy spices, Difficult to get in

Great flavours

We both had the bento box which is great, so big, with so many flavours and textures. Still, I wish they had more options, there were no burgers... and I mean, Ain Soph burguers are SO good! Apart from the bento box there was rice and curry, and pancakes.
The ambience is nice but to sit is only upstairs, no elevator. Also, small so if you are more than 2 people you may need to wait to get a table for your group.
They gave us a small piece of lemon cake to taste, it was VERY good! But we were too full to order it.
Staff was so friendly and kind!!

Pros: Great flavours, super nice staff

Cons: Not many options for lunch time, place is kind of small and upstairs (no elevator)

Delicious pancakes, a little expensive

The food was really yummy and presented beautifully. A bit expensive compared to other vegan desserts places but still, worth a trip!

The main problem was that the heater temp was turned up so high. We were all sweating and the windows were steamed up it was so hot lol... asked the staff if it’s ok to turn down the temperature and she did, but then put it back on 5 mins later. Hottest meal of my life.

Pros: Delicious vegan pancakes

Cons: Expensive , Hot

Well-presented but expensive

A good location just off the Ginza shopping precinct. The 5 table restaurant is a very tight squeeze with ‘ladies who lunch’. The food is beautifully presented but doesn’t quite live up to its looks and price tag. The bento box looks extraordinary and the food good. The mushroom and rice lunch meal was underwhelming: white rice and a dollop of stew.

The bakery downstairs is probably a better bet. Really nice cookies. Try the creamy raisin biscuits. Again pricey but there’s quality here. You can’t eat-in at the shop even though there are stools provided!

Pros: Bakery

Cons: Expensive

I definitely visit again

I visited in the afternoon for having tea and sweets. I could get in without waiting even weekend Tokyo!!
Price is normal-expensive in Japan.
Vegan pudding and Tiramisu are regular menu, both are so good. Not too sweet, but you are able to be satisfied. Berry Cheese cake is not regular menu (it was on menu instead of regular cheese cake), but it is delicious!!

I will definitely visit there at lunchtime next!!

Delicious little cafe/shop

This place is so cute, you can order togo items like cookies, pudding, tiramisu and granola downstairs and upstairs is a tiny little area to eat lunch or dinner. I had the pancakes which were very good. Everything is vegan so it's easy to order. Small selection on the menu, but what I got was high quality, fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented!
Get the tiramisu, it's amazing!!!!!!!!

Delicious lunch date

Popped in at lunchtime & although there isn’t a huge amount of choice I was made to enjoy it by the extremely tasty pancakes!
Petite place with 2 floors but cosy for relaxed lunch or dinner.
Nice selection of patisserie’s on the ground floor as you come in, had some coconut caramel cookies to go which are well worth a purchase!

Pros: Pancakes, Cosy atmosphere , Very friendly staff

Cons: Lunch menu not very extensive at all

Great food & service , pricey, small portions

One of the nicest place I’ve tried in Tokyo! Very good quality ingredients and great choices. Price is a little steep for the small portions. One con - they said you’d get a free dessert when writing a review however they still charged me😒

I came here for my birthday for lunch and got the bento box. Everything was so delicious and well crafted and cared for. I lived the curry with lotus root. I would definitely come here again next time I'm in the area!

Great Experience

Had the pancakes and salad set and it was amazing! Very delicious, couldn’t believe it was vegan. The menu wasn’t very large (weekday lunch) and a bit expensive, but amazing meal. Would return.

Yumm-o

Headed over a Wednesday, they opened at 11. Staff was very friendly and understood English. Has some English speaking staff and good menu with pictures. We enjoyed the falafel burger and regular burger with fries, both were delicious! Has many more offerings to cater to allergies and restrictions. Definitely recommend.

Pros: All vegan menu, Plugs for hanging out for a bit, Good bathroom

Hello! I just wanted to say that you have actually reviewed Ain Soph's Ripple store, in Shinjuku. It's a different vibe/menu/price point to the original Ginza restaurant

Ain Soph: A collective of excellent establishments.

The Ain Soph group have quite a few associated outlets in Tokyo and also at least one in Kyoto.

We had a hugely positive experience in the Ginza branch.

We chose the set lunch format and were overwhelmed by the high standards. The flavours on offer were astonishing. Fresh, seasonal ingredients merged with unique chef skills made for an immensely pleasing lunch.

I would highly recommend all of the places that Ain Soph is directly associated with.

Reviews for free dessert, avoid this place

Let me say that we went to Ain Soph Kyoto before and while the waiting time was worse there, the food, portions, staff were all a lot better.

Ain Soph.Ginza is the biggest disappointment we have been to in almost four weeks travelling through Japan. First of all, the waiter kept staring at us untill we were ready to order. The menu was very minimal and the drinks(even bottled water and normal tea) were 850 yen. The dinner salad plate, while fine in taste, wasnt really dinner worthy. It consisted of a lot of salad and a few pieces of different kind of veggies. Probably 250 kcal worth of food. The tofu omelette was way too soggy and bland in taste. Above all, you can review them on HappyCow / Tripadvisor for a free dessert. Personally I think this practice is sickening.

My dinner plate at Ain Soph Kyoto consisted of kara-age, tofu omelette, rice, tofu steaks and a lot of salad, and it was cheaper! I can't believe these are part of the same chain. Avoid this location!

Pros: Vegan restaurant

Cons: Expensive drinks, Small, unfilling portion sizes, Unfriendly staff, reviews for free dessert

Cute & Tasty

This branch of Ain.Soph is very different to the others I’ve been to, in a good way! The food is more traditionally Japanese than Ain.Soph Ripple in Tokyo and Ain.Soph Journey in Kyoto.

It was the last day of Golden Week so we had a limited holiday menu but the Bento Lunch was beautiful and consisted of salad, rice, soup, soy meat, curry and tofu omelette a drink.

I would have preferred a more extensive menu selection but to be fair, it’s highly likely that I would have landed on this anyway.

Pros: Cute bento lunch, Fresh and light , More traditional compared to other locations

Cons: Limited menu on holidays , On the pricier side
