Amazing crème brûlée - Edit
We had a very nice quick matcha break here. The cheesecake with strawberry ice was very good and not too sweet but the crème brûlée was next level.

Good bento, but a bit pricey - Edit
We've visited a few times now, and the food is very good,we like the variety of the bento box and the originality of the sushi. Food is seasonal as the main ingredients are vegetables so you'll get a different meal during different seasons. But the full meal is a bit pricey.

Delicious food in a spare, minimalist environment - Edit
The food is delicious and beautifully presented. I had to try the pancakes which are spoken about so highly and they were delicious, with freshly made blueberry compote, a syrup, whipped cream and ice cream to put on them. Appetizers of a small green salad and carrot soup were served and my dinner was followed up with a couple cookies.
Read moreNote that reservations with partial payment are required and you have to choose what you're going to eat at the time you reserve. Some have mentioned that the food is pricey, I do not think the price is out of line. Tokyo is the largest city in the world, one that is not extremely vegan friendly, and the food is great; prices here are less than what a comparable meal would cost in say, New York City
Pros: It was delicious, Each item was presented beautifully
Cons: None!

delicious, but maybe not worth the price - Edit
the food was amazing, and the portions were large, but it felt very dear for what it was, especially when there are so many cheaper options that are just as good. it was in a great location though, and the service was lovely !

Vegan ice cream - Edit
Had vegan ice cream. The chocolate and vanilla are OK. I liked the rum and raisin a bit less. Scoops on the small side and the texture initially too hard. Tastes a lot of soy.

Pretty good, but not great meal - Edit
Overall the traditional bento box meal with the pancakes were tasty but hard to justify given the price point. Portions were great and taste was there for most things aside from some tomato based soup and the matcha. My partner had requested a bit of soy milk for her coffee and it came in a small cup but were charged 480 Yen for it, seemed a bit excessive.

Impressive Japanese Bento - Edit
The Ginza store is small with very limited seats, so it’s better to make a reservation. The Japanese Bento is impressive with spinach curry, Karaage, and tofu side dish. Tomato soup was also rich and flavorful. Big portion for me. Very recommend!

A bit pricey for what it is, they sell cactus leather - Edit
Good food, but I honestly didn’t feel that 4,200 yen for a lunch and a drink was reflected in the meal. I got the pancakes but regret not getting something else. Kombucha was OK, probably wouldn’t recommend. Salad was quite small and alright, but not amazing.

Be sure to make a reservation well in advance as it’s super in demand and it’s not hard to see why.

Long wait but totally worth it - Edit
Make a reservation because the place is tiny to avoid a long wait. It was totally worth it though. The pancakes are divine. It will all be on my YouTube channel (where I review lots of vegan restaurants) so please check it out and subscribe. It’s NonStopTravelVV on YouTube.

One of the best vegan spots of my whole trip - Edit
I kept hearing about Ain Soph and had to make it over to see what all the hype was about. It turns out everyone was so right, the food here was phenomenal! We got the Fukurokuju bento set which included the most heavenly salad. Of course we had to share the pancakes for dessert and I was in love 🥰 I can’t wait to visit again someday in the future. 🤍

Best meal of my Japan trip! - Edit
Visited on September 28, 2023. During my recent visit to Japan, I finally had the chance to enjoy a meal at Ain Soph., a fantastic vegan restaurant with a few locations across Japan. I opted for the fukurokuju bento from their lunch menu, and it turned out to be the best meal of our trip! Even my omnivore partner loved it! The pricing at 3470 yen per bento was very reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. It was our last meal in Japan and the perfect way to conclude our trip. We went to the Ginza location!

Amazing pancakes - Edit
We turned up knowing lunch service was over and they were just serving tea and dessert but thought we would try it anyway. There seemed to be a lot of things ‘sold out’ but we both had pancakes (mine the ‘strawberry special’ and my partners the ‘heavenly pancakes’) and they were really delicious. Both came with fruit, cream, ice cream and syrup. It was fairly expensive though, the most we have paid for any food whilst in Tokyo!

Great bento box - Edit
I was asked whether I had a reservation, which I didn't, but it didn't matter anyway because they were able to seat me in the restaurant; so you may need one if it's busy. I had the bento lunch set. The staff member described each part of the meal as they put it on the table. It was delicious and filling, but a little bit expensive. I also had a matcha tiramisu from the shop on the first floor. It was really good.

Amazing bento lunch - Edit
Very glad I stopped in Ginza to visit Ain Soph. Absolutely delicious. The large bento may be on the pricy side (not sure honestly) but it felt very worth it to me. A filling but light meal. I wasn't sure I'd like the soy meat because I usually don't like fake meats, but it's just some kind of compressed soy, like tofu skins, and has a bit of a savory, juicy flavor.

Great vegan lunch service - Edit
We stopped on for lunch and were delighted with the vegan menu and attentive service. The restaurant is on the third floor. The smooth concrete walls and wood floors/trim contribute to the building’s charm. My husband had the mushroom hayashi rice (in a brown tomato gravy) entree and I had the bento box. The salad and dressing were fresh, light, and flavorful. Some of the reviews imply that it’s expensive for small portions, but I thought the portions were generous. I believe you get what you pay for. It costs more to use quality ingredients , especially when using plant-based ingredients not pre-made products. This restaurant only uses fresh healthy ingredients. We truly appreciate having quality plant-based dining options and really enjoyed our time here. I highly recommend you trying as well. Enjoy!

Great presentation, but food was just okay… - Edit
There were some mixed reviews on this place, but I decided to give it a try anyways. I heard the pancakes were very good here, but that menu item was sold out unfortunately. I chose to have the Kissyo Ten dinner which came with salad, soup, a kissho box, a 3 piece sushi side, dessert and a drink. It was actually a lot of food in my opinion and the presentation was amazing. However, the main kissho box was lackluster. The ikura used for one of the sushi pieces was eerily close to the real thing, but I was told it was seaweed based. The salad and the cold soup which came before the box were much better in my opinion. I’m not sure I would come back.
