Consistently great - Edit
We ordered from here tonight after a quite some time, and I was pleasantly surprised by the uptick in quality. The lentil samboosa was warm and delicious, and the vegan dishes (red lentils, tomato salad and green beans and carrots) were all prepared with the right blend of spice and flavor. I remembered the food being a little unbalanced in the past — too spicy to the point of masking the innate taste — but not tonight. Rather excellent. They have the usual vegan options you find at any Ethiopian restaurant, but I wish they’d take a chance and go fully vegan. Alas, I don’t know that Burtonsville has enough vegetariansvegans to support a fully vegan establishment. At least not yet.

Absolutely fantastic!! - Edit
I wish I could give it 5 stars! They sadly do have meats products. The staff is amazing though! Family owned and operated. Mango lemonade is faaaaaan-flippin-tastic! The veggie #2 platter was beyond filling and super tasty. I loved the green beans and collard greens the best. Also, out of all the groups that saw come in they all got the veggie platter. I will go back every week!

I found the restaurant on this app. I ordered the veggie #2 mango juice. There are several vegan choices on the menu. Awesome service and love the atmosphere.

Teff (gluten free) injera! - Edit
The food was amazing! The tomato salada was my favorite, but the greens, cabbage and lentils were great too. I even liked the beets, which is saying something for me. The best of all though is they had gluten free injera made from only teff. It was the best injera I've had!

Loved every dish! - Edit
Went here tonight with my (non-vegan) mother and we split the veggie combo platter #1 (spicy red lentils, split peas, collard green, cabbage & potato, green beans &carrot, and tomato salad). The waitress knew exactly what vegan meant which I always find reassuring. It came with a whole basket of injera rolls as well as the injera it was served on and everything was superb. I've been trying to vegan-ize my mother and she really did enjoy this as well. It wasn't too spicy but it certainly wasn't bland. Each dish was also very different which I liked. The platter was just enough for the two of us, but if you and your friend are feeling more of an appetite, go for the combo platter #2 that also comes with lentil salad and chickpea salad. Our food was ready quite quickly and the waitress told us it was because vegan food is the best, simplest food to make! The tea was also a great asset to the meal (a citrus-y/spice tea). The sign on the building says something like "Ethiopian restaurant" instead of the name, but the name is on the door. I would 100% go here again!
