Disappointed but could have been an off night? - Edit
It’s a nice seeming restaurant. We asked to order takeout, I guess this is uncommon. They asked us to stay but I explained I was feeling unwell and we just had a big travel day to get to the island. They said no problem, as long as what we ordered could fit in containers and they confirmed our dishes would. I ordered the vegan gyro plate, my boyfriend ordered the meat one, and we ordered hummus and eggplant salad.
Read moreThey said they don’t have containers after all but they’d figure something out. We got our food and everything was wrapped in tinfoil - I appreciated the effort but we missed a lot of the dips as it was all stuck in the tinfoil (the hummus ended up being only about 4 teaspoons that we could get out). The biggest issue was our mains… they came with no vegetables (supposed to have tomato, onion and salad I believe), and mine had no sauce. If it was the issue of not having containers - I would rather have been told and we would have gotten something else that included everything it was supposed to. The food that was included was low quality too- we both had a mound of protein (was ok), not fresh pita, and undercooked fries. It was a surprise. I’m thinking full effort is put into the dishes that are served at the restaurant.
I wouldn’t recommend, it was the most expensive and disappointing meal we’ve had here. The service from the women working was nice and maybe their other dishes are better as they always seem busy!
Pros: Pretty restaurant , Mostly friendly service, Great location

Great gyros plate - Edit
Had the vegan gyros plate and it was just great, better than the one I had at Nissi Beach Cafe. Lovely outdoor area in the old town. Fast service altough we were there quite early, at 7 PM. Friendly staff.

Watch out for ‘Beyond meat’ labelling - Edit
Friendly and helpful staff. The ‘beyond meat’ kebab was not actual beyond meat and more like a vegetable patty. The beyond meat patty is actual beyond meat and comes with two patties but not in a bun. The starters were all very tasty.

Disappointed - Edit
A few vegan options but not very nice, ordered beyond burger but comes as just the meat patty and no bun, half a dozen fries and very small side salad.
Read moreHummus was just out tub stuff and not ‘homemade’ as it stated on the menu. Vegan gyro was very greasy. And expensive for what it was.
Pros: Few vegan options
Cons: Slow service , Expensive for what you get , Small portions

Great food, great service - Edit
We loved our meal at Agora they instantly made us feel welcome and we're very attentive to our needs
Read moreStaff really understood the vegan diet and talk us through the menu. The menu has been updated as of Oct '22 with many opitions including vegan fish opitions (prawns, fish & crab)
Meal portions were sizeable and reflected the price. Price wasn't too high for Kos Town and we found was around average prices.
Pros: Friendly staff and good atmosphere , Many opitions

Traditional greek meals, vegan - Edit
I was surprised to see that they had traditional greek meals in vegan. I took the vegan gyros and it tasted very good. They had a lot of other vegan food to choose from. The service was good and the prices are also pretty fair. Recommended!

Read moreThe falafel was also quite dry & expensive and the rest of the plate was quite disappointing
They bought as some Bread & tomato puree which was a bit strange & then they charges us for it even Tho we didn't order it

Okay, tasty but expensiv - Edit
The appetizers were very tasty and delicious and for the Main dish i had the Free Shrimps with sauce. I offered some rice and salad to it, because it seemed too less for me, but the portion was very little and to expensiv for this sice. It was good, but without the appetizers, I wouldn‘t have been fed up.

Ok vegan options - Edit
I had the falafel, it was ok, the bread that comes with the hummus may not be vegan as the falafel came with a different bread, so double check before eating.

Agora restaurant in Kos City - Edit
Only had a few snacks because we weren't very hungry. But I found the eggplant salad very tasty and my companion also liked the fava. The service was very helpful and friendly. If we had the time, we would come back in the evening for dinner.
