Caro y mala calidad, comida quemada. - Edit
No vuelvere

Fantastic Food - Edit
This was one of the best meals I had in Barcelona. The restaurant is located on the 1st floor of a commercial building, but don’t be put off by that.

Decent food - Edit
We tried the museum tacos and the zucchini lasagne. The tacos were very tasty and good, but it was a quite small serving. The lasagne was a bit bland to eat. It also was not very warm. The place is cool inside, but it is a bit awkward to navigate around since it is needed to walk through a hotel reception.

We loved the venue itself, and the lunch menu was lovely! We really enjoyed the zucchini cream, dumplings and the mushroom tacos.

It was ok but not amazing - Edit
We needed a snack and ended up getting more food because we found this vegan restaurant. It was super weird to find, you needed to be buzzed in then up a dark staircase it was just weird. It felt like you weren’t supposed to be there. Restaurant was kind of empty but we were sat near a window with a lovely view of a patio. My husband got tacos which were supper different almost felt like the tortilla was a large English muffin. He liked it. I got the bread and cream cheese but it tasted just like hummus and was looking forward to a vegan cream cheese. It was fine. We ordered chocolate cake cause we’re on vacation and it was not cake, super dense almost like a block of chocolate. It wasn’t bad just not what I expected. Maybe in general that sums up our experience here, fine just not what I expected. And not unexpected in an amazing way just fine.

Ok - Edit
They didn't seem to have the lunch menu on when we visited despite it being 1pm. We ordered the pumpkin dumplings, courgette lasagna and oyster tacos plus two small beers for €48. The food was ok but I found it to be extremely overpriced for what it was and portions were tiny so we went to McDonald's for some fries afterwards! Service however was exceptional, with our waiter giving us some tips prior to our visit to Casa Battlo.

Set meals - Edit
One floor up from street level at Hotel Sonder. I saw “Let the Sunshine In” below the Sonder sign and then noticed the board, reading “100% plant based restaurant on the 1st floor.” One needs to press the buzzer (square white button), the door opens, you walk through white doors and up the stairs and turn left through another white door to the hotel reception desk. The restaurant is to the left and includes a sunny terrace. Yes, it is worth the effort.
Read moreLunch was a set menu for EUR 18 (Dec-2023), with a choice of either two starters plus one main or three starters, with water and bread included. I had an Aperol spritzer from the cocktail menu (which I wish had been served to me at least 10 minutes before the meal). My two starters - one of which was a creamy soup - and the main were served together, all on one plate. It may be a high price for the size of meal, but the food was all very good. The tamari made things quite salty, but I didn’t mind that. I really enjoyed the meal.
Open 1:30-4 pm and then 8 pm-1 am (as shown on their Instagram page). Odd that I see nothing on the Hotel Sonder website about the plant-based aspect of the restaurant. It looks like the restaurant is where hotel guests have breakfast.

This place is amazing! - Edit
Happened upon Age of Aquarius on a trip to Barcelona. I wouldn't have known it was there if it weren't for a modest sign at the entrance of the hotel. The restaurant is on the second floor past hotel check-in. Daniel, the owner is thoughtful in his service and very attentive. The meals are creative (and delicious) and sure to please. Went back several times during my trip. I highly recommend this restaurant!! It is a treat.

Excellent! - Edit
We were blown away by age of Aquarius! Be aware, it was a bit hard to find. The restaurant is on the second floor of the Sonder hotel. The front door to the hotel was locked and it wasn’t super clear how to use to buzzer to get in if you’re not a hotel guest. We almost gave up but luckily we persisted and eventually found the buzzer and made our way in. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful and spoke great English. We tried 6 different dishes, the highlights were definitely the seaweed fritters (so delicious and unique!) and the grilled leeks. We also loved the kale Caesar, Tortilla, and the off-menu dumpling special. We ordered the eggplant/tofu/date sushi roll too, but it was a bit underwhelming compared to how AMAZING the rest of the food was. I would maybe recommend skipping the sushi and sticking to the main tapas/dinner menu. All told, I think this was our favorite meal we had during our 3 day stay in Barcelona and I would HIGHLY recommend a stop here.

This place was the bomb! Four of us went and the bill was just around 40€. We shared the glass noodles, fried mushrooms and sushi - oyster mushroom nigiri, leek cucumber tempeh. The waiter recently relocated from Brazil and was a great person. His English was much better than our Catalan Spanish. Highly recommend this spot! It’s right down the street from Casa Batllo.

Dinner service chose from their 4 course menu. Every single item was absolutely delicious. We are so happy we came here and the service was very kind. They had an amazing mushroom appetizer and eggplant main course. All of their sauces were beautiful and their garnishes were not just sides they were amazing in their own way. The chocolate desert had a cookie finish with some salt and dark chocolate. Unbelievable food !
