Serves meat, vegan options available. Traditional Mexican food but adjusted to today's tastes, made from scratch including the sauces, fillings, tortillas, and guacamole. Has vegetarian dishes containing butternut squash and is accommodating to special requests. Open Mon-Fri 11:00am-9:00pm, Sat 11:00am-10:00pm, Sun 11:00am-9:00pm.

Tasty and filling - Edit
They have a few vegetarian options that can be made vegan by specifying no queso. I had the artichoke tacos which came with a side of beans and rice (again, important to specify no queso for the beans). The meal was tasty and filling. I also saw some other options, including a burrito with spinach and mushrooms and some appetizers like guacamole. I’ll definitely be back to try more. I’m giving 3 stars because the vegan options are limited and it’s somewhat pricey.

Only a few options but very good! - Edit
We had the artichoke tacos, mushroom and spinach enchiladas, and habanero brussel sprouts. They also have outdoor seating. Looking forward to going again (not much in Issaquah). Skip the fajitas.

No vegan options that I could find - Edit
Website says they had vegan options always on the menu, but none were listed. I asked the server if they had any vegan entrees and they brought be fajitas with a side of beans with cheese on them and seemed surprised that I didn't want cheese. It didn't give me a ton of confidence that the fajitas were prepared in a vegan way. Would love to see a marked vegan option on the menu or maybe a more knowledgeable staff

Interesting, quality options! - Edit
I was actually very impressed with this place. Lots of Mexican places I end up just getting a side of rice and beans, if I'm lucky. This place had several vegan options (when leaving off cheese). I got the fried artichoke tacos, very inventive and delicious! Almost tasted like fish tacos. Chips and salsas were very good too, as well as the margarita. Same prices if not cheaper for much better quality food than the other Mexican restaurants in the area. Will definitely be back when visiting my sister!

Best option in Issaquah - Edit
Issaquah doesn't have much of a restaurant scene, let alone a place to get vegan food. Unless we want to eat at PCC, Agave Cocina is where we usually end up. You do have to tell them that you are vegan, so no cheese or sour cream or lard, and they are happy to accommodate. They have a couple of options (fried artichoke tacos, butternut squash enchiladas, roasted cauliflower salad) but our favorite is to get beans, rice, and guacamole. It's inexpensive, tasty, and filling. I must say, I've never left with a headache (previous review), and I tend to be pretty picky. I always research menus before going somewhere so I am not disappointed with my expectations exceeding reality.

Delicious Summer-y Salad! - Edit
The Beet Salad was great! Had to take off the cheese. The horchata is made with rice milk, how it is made traditionally!

so good! - Edit
Several vegetarian options to choose from that are all delicious. Just ask for no cheese because they put it in everything. Supposedly vegan if you specify that.

vf means has v options. - Edit
c'mon now! list places that actually serve vegans, not give them a headache and dairy. stop this doesn't pass the requirements to be listed on hc.

In its defense it does say Veg Friendly not Vegan. The place has vegetarian dishes and does do special orders. Can't really give it 1 star for being what it advertised itself as being.
