New Menu - Few Options - Edit
Pretty disappointed. When I lived in Louisville/Cincinnati a few years ago, I came here frequently with friends. They had some vegan nachos, and a handmade veggie burger that was excellent, and really a ton of quality vegan options on the menu. Recently, I was in town visiting family and we decided to stop by. Unfortunately, in the years since, they have completely changed their menu. They have removed most all of the vegan options, and now only have a Beyond Meat burger and a vegan bean chili. Vegetarians may not be as disappointed, there are quite a few items marked vegetarian, but I can’t comment on them. Also, their pricing has changed. All entrees are now served without sides so you have to order them separately, and frankly, I didn’t think the quality warranted the pricing. I wouldn’t go again myself, but if I was with a group of family or friends that weren’t vegan/vegetarian, maybe we’d stop by, if we couldn’t find another place.

Brewery with a few veg options - Edit
This place had a cool atmosphere, being downtown and at the Louisville slugger field. I asked the server what specific vegan options they had and they had 3 things: a vegan chili, a beyond bratwurst, and beyond sloppy faux sandwich. We got the bratwurst, which were nothing special, but we were happy to see a veg option in a brewery.

What options they have are good - Edit
Great atmosphere and location.
Read moreI had the cauliflower sloppy joe with fries and liked it enough to go back the next night for the sloppy joe tacos. I would have given them 5 stars if they had more options.
Pros: Tasty food, good beer and liquor selection

Pretty Ok, Kinda Pricey - Edit
It’s a nice place and the staff are great. A few vegan options, marked clearly. I got the Dirty Vegan, which includes the Beyond Meat patty and faux cheese, as well as a housemade sauce. Had to say I was dissapointed, it was super salty. This place is the place to be right before a Louisville City soccer game, so be warned that it gets and stays packed around these times.

Vegan sloppy joe is the bomb! - Edit
Fun brewery with meat, vegetarian, and vegan options. Brunch has limited vegan choices but you can get the vegan dirty burger if you ask. It’s delicious!

The beer and food are soooo good. - Edit
Had The dirty vegan which is a Beyond Burger and vegan cheese. It was so good it barely lasted 5mins on my plate. Paired that with a black tea and cherries beer they had on tap and I was in heaven. I will definitely be going back!

We loved thiis place - Edit
We expected to have a hard time finding vegan food in Kentucky. We really enjoyed Against the Grain's food and beer. They change their menu every so often, so the items mentioned in the description were no longer available. When we went, they had a vegan black bean chili and a sloppy joe sandwich made from chick peas and cauliflower - though you have to replace the brioche bread for vegan bread to make it vegan. Otherwise the menu for vegan without modification was fairly limited. There were some salads that you could request no cheese and probably some sides. Luckily our server was originally from California and was very knowledgeable about making sure our meal was vegan. She was also super nice.

This was a really great stop by the ball park! The wings are a MUST!!! Wish their onion rings were vegan friendly but this place has lots of great try's for vegan/vegetarians!

HAIL BBQ SEITAN - Edit
Ok, I usually don't rave about restaurants who's main focus is on nonvegan or nonvegetarian food but this place has awesome seitan wings! I can't believe I didnt know about them before. They are juicy, soft, good "meaty" size, and oh so saucy. Just the wings alone will keep me coming back. (So much better than the BBC's)
Read moreOther plus factors are the amazing beer, which you can actually see where they brew it behind glass walls! There's lovely local art on the walls. They have a pickled plate that u can omit the egg and cheese from but keep in mind they dont alter the price. One reviewer said the fries were overseasoned so i got mine regular and they were super fresh and great.
The only downside is the bbq seitan sandwich comes on brioche! It's not vegan. They offered white sandwich bread or the baguettes that came with my pickled plate instead which is totally a disgrace to the amazingness of the seitan. I just stuck with the wings and topped some fries with them. Still not complaining. Next visit I will try the nachos with the seitan and a side of greens.
Pros: best seitan in louisville, tons of craft beer, homemade pickled veggies
Cons: no vegan buns

Wangzzzzz - Edit
The vegan seitan wings here are on point. You can request extra BBQ sauce instead of honey for dipping. The tacos come with the same seitan (maybe a different sauce?), but be cautious - twice when I've ordered them they've given me pork. The greens are also vegan and very tasty. I'm not a big fan of the vegan chili, it's always been a bit bland and thick, and the fries are overly seasoned for my taste.
