Vegan high tea at The Savoy

The Thames Foyer in the iconic Savoy hotel is a gorgeous atrium bathed in sunlight. We chose The Savoy because their vegan high tea is clearly marked on the menu as vegan, with descriptions of the items, unlike the other high-end places like The Ritz. When we were seated, there was a live piano player in the centre of the room, which really added to the almost surreal feeling of how classy this place is. Our server, Danny, was awesome, refilling our cups of tea almost faster than we could drink them. After our sandwich course, he offered to bring us more of anything we especially liked, so we had another round of the roasted red pepper eggplant sandwiches. All the food was incredible and this really was a wonderful, flawless experience. If I were to offer any advice, go with the afternoon tea instead of the high tea. The only difference, for something like an extra 15£ per person, was a tiny smoked beet salad. Lovely and flavourful, but not worth the additional cost IMHO.

Pros: Gorgeous restaurant, Great service , Vegan High Tea was amazing

Cons: $$$$$, High Tea not worth the upcharge over Afternoon Tea

Delicious, vegan-GF menu available

My 17yo and I had a delicious vegan afternoon tea here in May. My food was all specially made GF. The service was outstanding, atmosphere lovely, and food excellent. Oh and the tea was also excellent.

One small note: it is not cheap.

Pros: Service & atmosphere , Delicious food & tea, Fully GF (& vegan) menu available

Cons: Expensive , GF bread was ordinary
