Solid Mediterranean Option

Loved the ambiance and this is clearly nor a chain. Vegan options were labeled. All the standard fare. For the price, the falafel entree should come with an additional side but it was really good.

go to for vegan mediterranean food

Afrah has been one of my favorites since I first went vegan and it’s still always good! I get the hummus, tabbouleh, lentil soup ($4!! and so good!!!), greek salad (ask for no feta) and falafel! Everything vegan is clearly marked which I love! Highly recommend for my vegetarian/ vegan friends! #Veganuary

Overall-Very Positive Experience

12-2-2019
Really delicious food and at least half of all food on buffet is vegan. Buffet cost ($14.00) is over my budget for lunch though. Big cafeteria feeling dining area is all tables for 6 people at each table. I went at 2:15PM so only 7 people there so no problem getting a table to myself but if really busy I can imagine it might be necessary to share a table with others, which isn’t my preference. Wish they had smaller tables because I usually eat lunch alone. I might try going after 2:30 PM to see what it would cost for a late lunch using the menu instead of the buffet. Bottom line, fantastic pastry display cases, great food, too expensive for lunch, dining room not very intimate. Overall...Great place, give it a try!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Tasty food, Great deserts

Cons: Only buffet for lunch until 2:30 PM, Buffet a bit too expensive at $14.00, Non intimate dining room-giant cafeteria feel

Good food, but only buffet for lunch

They have everything labeled, which is really nice! We were told that you can only do the buffet for lunch during the week and not order A La Carte. We had been before they moved to the larger building, and at that point it wasn't buffet only for lunch. We weren't totally happy with that fact, mostly because we typically like to eat fairly light for lunch since we have to go back to work, but we decided to stay anyway. The food is great and the staff was friendly. The building that they built a few years ago is beautiful, but super cold in there! It was packed when we went (It was a Thursday). We probably wont go back during the week.

Pros: Vegan Options clearly labeled

Nice food and lunch buffet option

Good mediterranean food , they have a wide variety of buffet option for their lunch , however it is hard to peek what is in there for the buffet since the buffet section is way inside and you have to pass the cashier.

Pros: Excellent Food, Friendly Staff, Good Ambience

Cons: None

Many options, friendly staff

If you're in the mood for Mediterranean, this is definitely the place to go! Don't judge it by the interior which looks a little cheap. The vegan menu options are clearly labeled and there are options in every category (appetizers, entrees, dessert)- you definitely won't leave hungry. The baba ghanouj was amazing; I recommend it for sure. The falafel was also great. Service is quick and friendly. Don't forget dessert! They have balaclava and homemade gelato (just ask which ones are dairy free!).

Pros: Variety of options, Friendly service, Delicious food

Cons: Ambiance

Best vegan food in North Dallas.

So I've been eating vegan since 1998, but I don't like the fake cheese and fake meat stuff. Heck, I don't even like tofu. I just want healthy and nutritious vegan fare...and sometimes raw. I find just that kind of food at Afrah.

The lunch buffet has a ton of vegan options and when I eat lunch there I don't even need to eat dinner. All for only about $10. That's a deal for me. Hands down, this my favorite place to eat in North Dallas.

Be warned that they do serve meat, so don't expect pure vegan food. However, the food I eat there is fresh and I get the protein, carbs, and even some raw with the salads, tabbouli and hummus. Not sure if the baba ghanouj is raw or not...either way, I don't care since it is so darn yummy.

They even make their own ice cream and at least five of the flavors are dairy free. Try the mango -- It's like, wow.

What do I eat there?: Falafel, baba ghannouj, hummus, tabbouli, dolmas, potatoes, rice, eggplant curry, zatar pie, and bread. I also buy bakalava to go for a snack later.

I would give it five stars, but this site apparently only allows four stars for restaurants that serve meat. Whatever. This place has incredible food. Enjoy!

Pros: Large Variety, Fresh and healthy, Great Environment
