Okay but nothing special - Edit
Stopped here with my meat eating friend.
Read moreInside was clean and I liked that they have an outdoor patio.
Service was nice and they have a huge vegan menu with lots of items which was a plus.
You have to pay for chips and salsa which isn’t common at a Mexican restaurant. They were very good though. It’s a plate of chips, roasted salsa and pico de gallo.
I got the potato enchiladas. The red sauce was okay and the enchiladas themselves were fine but it just tasted like mashed potatoes. Not really the best but not bad.
The rice and beans were good but lacked a little flavor.
Comes with a fresh salad and says it comes with avocado but it was just one little slice.
Overall, the price wasn’t really worth the flavors. $15 for my plate of two enchiladas while my meat-eater friend paid much less for the same amount of food.
Looking at the menu this seems to be another “regular” restaurant capitalizing off of vegans by overcharging on vegan food way more than their regular meals.

Cow cheese on « vegan » food - Edit
My daughter has a dairy allergy so we really can’t mess around with this issue. We ordered a vegan quesadilla that came with normal cheese. It looked very cheese like to me, so I called to confirm it was in fact vegan. She kept saying over and over it was « tofu cheese » so I asked what the brand was. In response, she gave me the brand of the tofu (there were chunks of it in the quesadilla). After 5 minutes of going back and forth, she finally admitted they don’t have vegan cheese so it was a mistake. I’d never come back here ever again.

Be careful - Edit
Ordered a vegan flauta plate and it came with both cheese and sour cream. Not sure if it was an accident or they just don’t fully understand vegan? It was a Grub Hub order so couldn’t send it back to ask.

The horchata contains dairy when the traditional drink is made with with rice and/or coconut milk. The tamarindo tastes like apple juice with added sugar. More plants would be ideal.

Finally, some vegan Mexican food in the South Bay - Edit
I had the potato flautas from the vegan menu, which were pretty damn good. Their cafe de olla is also some of the best coffee I've had in the Bay, and that's saying something as a coffee snob. Their vegan corner menu is pretty extensive so I'll be sure to return ASAP.

Such great vegan food. The potato flautas are my favorite. I just wish it was cheaper. $17 for a couple potato flautas?

Maddiefett, the price is really $12.95 and there are 3 flautas (taquitos) on the plate. Hope to see you again soon. :)

All-Vegan Menu - Edit
They have an all-vegan menu, which is rad. But be careful that you still specify "vegan blah blah" because many of the dishes are just vegan versions. I've ordered the vegan plantains and got the non-vegan sauce with them. Beyond that, the vegan chilaquiles is pretty damn good.

Vegan Menu with many options - Edit
Love that they have a whole vegan section of the menu to make things easy. I ordered the potato enchiladas with green sauce, which were very mild. I really enjoyed them. Also ordered a margarita at the bar while I waited. It came with chips and salsa, which were great. I went on a Saturday night and it was difficult to find a table, so make reservations if you can. Parking was also difficult, so I went to the end of the lot near Subway.

Taqueria with Great Vegan Options - Edit
Top notch food with an entire page of the menu dedicated to explicitly vegan options as well as the option to replace any meat on any plate with veggie/vegan choices and request no dairy. Gluten free options. Veggie oil use is specified on menu. Great flavors (especially tofu chile verde), many choices, and it scratches the Mexican food itch!

vegan Mexican! Yeah - Edit
This is my first time here, I'm just so thrilled to find a Mexican place with more vegan choices than a bean burrito! The vegan tostado is great but messy :)
Read moreThe vegan taco is also great,. The tortilla used for the taco are not fried, it's a soft taco, with quinoa, yummy. I love the casual scene here. The food is a little more money than some other places but I'll be coming back often and recommending this place!
Pros: vegan section on menu clearly marked, good food, fun casual atmosphere
Cons: a bit more money than some casual Mexican places

Yum! + All vegan menu - Edit
I'm always a bit skeptical of taquerias that don't have dedicated vegan or vegetarian items on the menu. Mexican food it notorious for using lard and animal stock in even the beans, rice, and tortillas. Thank god for places like this that have taken the time to ensure they have vegan items and put them on a dedicated vegan menu! There are 10 or so items on the vegan menu including fajitas, tamales, taquitos, tacos, salads. There is ample seating inside although it's a bit loud (customers are loud I think) but it also makes it cool in a way because it's casual. I would definitely eat here again. I found the staff to be friendly and the salsa, chips, guacamole tasty too.

Huge variety of authentic vegan Mexican dishes - Edit
It's nice to be able to go to an authentic Mexican taqueria and order from an all-vegan menu and not worry about what they might be adding to or cooking the food with. The vegan selection here is HUGE and really top notch. I was impressed with all the food we ordered: fajitas, spanish rice, chips & salsa & guacamole, and tostadas. I'm exited to go back and try more things on the menu.

All vegan menu - Edit
This place has a specific vegan menu, but I've tried several things off the menu and have been left unimpressed. I ordered their veggie burrito, which was HUGE but all the veggies were raw, I basically ate the tortilla. I had the potato enchiladas which weren't memorable either. I want good vegan Mexican food, unfortunately Adelita's doesn't really do it for me. But I'll probably try again as they have a more expansive vegan menu.
