Best place I've eaten in a long time. - Edit
Absolutely amazing food and the prices were so cheap for London. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming and recommended us what to eat. I honestly would recommend this place to anyone, the food is so fresh and authentic. Such a wonderful experience.

Amazing! - Edit
Amazing food, super cheap (especially for London!) and the owners were the nicest people. We'd never had Ethiopian food before, so they were really helpful in explaining what the dishes were. Also the decor is great, but just be aware that it's quite small (cosy) so there's limited seating.

An All-round Amazing Experience! - Edit
Not only the food is delicious but the experience of Addis Kitchen is outstanding. The interior is filled with food and none-food items related to Ethiopia. The staff are engaged and very friendly - they explain the food to customers, what it is made of, the tradition of it etcetera. If you’re willing to eat with your hands then it only gets better 😄. At the end, we saw someone receiving fried, sweet-looking dumplings and asked if we could also have some. I believe they were not on the menu but they tasted great - they resembled donuts with no filling.

Definitely returning when I'm back in London! - Edit
This is, by quite a long shot, the best ratio of food value/taste/health that I've had eating out in London, and a strong contender for anywhere, not just London. 2 people well fed for £15 with a delicious massive serving of Injera and a great variety of legumes and vegetables served on top. Super friendly service and we were even treated to some complimentary Ethiopian tea. I'm probably going to go here every time I need to go to London.

Wonderful owners, great food - Edit
Really lovely restaurant setting and fantastic, flavourful food. Really, really great Ethiopian.
Read moreHowever what really made this special was the owners, Addis and Titi; who not only made the food but really hosted us beautifully. We sat and ate for an hour or so, but then as the shop was quiet they offered us Ethiopian coffee, served in the traditional way and we shared with them and enjoyed a chat.
Can't wait to go back.
Pros: Great Food, Lovely staff/owners, Fully vegan - vegan owners

You can get a huge portion of super-tasty Ethiopian dishes for £9. Injera is superb. I got free refreshment cranberry water while I was waiting. Excellent service.

Outstanding - Edit
I had a mixture of vegetables, tipical dishes that are especially popular during tsom (Lent) which consists in Lentils cooked in three different spices, spinach, and also Aliccia which is potatoes, carrots, leeks..to die for. Loved the authenticity of every dish, they also use Teff ingera. (Superfood/Glutenfree)
Read moreI have to mention that what I loved the most was their service, they checked back, and I saw them explaining things regarding our culture, from the way we make and drink coffee back home to explaining how to eat Ingera "the right way"
Anyone from Ethiopia or Eritrea would love it but the reason why I'm leaving such a long review is because finally I can take anyone to a restaurant that truly fully represents my culture/country, very welcoming, friendly approach beautiful food, amazing tea/coffee. Overall Outstanding.
Thank you

Lovely new place on the Old Kent Road (free parking at Tescos).
Read moreTraditional Ethiopian food and really friendly owner. The food was so tasty we shared a veggie mix which was suitable for one but still enough for two for only £9.
Plenty of seating inside at the tables or at the bar. Can't wait to go back and try some more delicious dishes!
Also dog friendly!!!
Pros: Super friendly, Gorgeous food freshly made and filling, not too expensive
Cons: None
