Bold flavors!

I found this gem on the app and decided to give it a try since it was close to my hotel. I thought it was a sign since I have been wanting to try Ethiopian food. I loved it! There were several vegan options that were clearly marked. I got the vegan stew and my only regret is I don’t live closer.

Pros: Unique flavors, Several vegan options, Good portions and reasonably priced

Cons: It is too far from my home., Don’t expect fancy decor.

Truly amazing

I love this place. You can tell as soon as you walk in that it's a neighborhood favorite. The owners, an Ethiopian couple, know their customers by name. They made menu recommendations that would get you the most food for your money. Vegan options are clearly marked on the menu which is a huge bonus. The food was authentic and full of flavor. Highly recommend.

Pros: Authentic, family owned, Delicious vegan options, Outdoor seating

Cons: Styrofoam takeout containers, Staff not masked

I mean... everything was sooooo good!

My husband and I shared our meals. He got the vegan Ethiopian sampler and I got the Mediterranean falafel platter. Both were amazing! They even stayed open a little late for us. The owners are so nice. Ask for the garlic and hot sauces.

Really lovely

Great ambiance and music. Had beautiful mushroom stew and the split peas were incredible.

Pros: Yummy spicy mushrooms that were whole.

Cons: Slightly pricy but worth it.

Awesome!

Thought I was trapped working at the Galt House all week working too long of hours to make it to all of the great restaurants with vegan offerings in Louisville. Discovered on Happy Cow that these guys were across the street. Falafels are great and Teff bread vegan sampler is incrediable. I didn’t think I was going to be able to finish it. I’d recommend!

Pros: Some great vegan options, Friendly service

Cons: Not gluten free, Serves meat

Great vegan ethiopian food

For lunch this place is always hoppin', so be prepared to wait a few minutes. Thins out after 1-2pm. The food is outstanding! They have a great Ethopian selection with lentils and injera bread (spongy bread made with teff flour). They also have some more typical medditeranean stuff like hummus and falafel but this is the closest Ethiopian food you can get anywhere near downtown.

Good prices, good service, and the owner Abbey is pretty rad. They also have a full bar and so forth if you're into that sort of thing.

Pros: vegan food, ethiopian food, filling

Cons: busy at lunch
