Not worth it - Edit
It seems that all the great reviews in here are from a time when this restaurant had better vegan food. Our experience was not as pleasant. The bean burger was bland and dry and the bun was old and crumpling. Apparently no one told them that vegan meat burger patties were invented since the 1990s and that you can add a sauce to make a burger less dry without cheese. It was simply not worth the 14 pounds we paid for it.

Casual dining, good food - Edit
Vegan options clearly marked across the food and drinks menus. There appeared to be one vegan starter, two vegan mains and a vegan dessert on the evening we were there. I had the vegan starter, popcorn cauliflower which was delicious - crispy and light and the perfect serving size for a starter and then the Jamaican jerk beam burger for main. The flavours of the burger were sensational - smoky, spicy and packed a serious punch. The vegan brownie and ice cream for dessert was pleasant. The brownie would have been much nicer if served warm but all in all a great meal in a lovely setting with friendly and very efficient service. Worth a visit!

3 clearly labels mains on their menu, friendly staff and great food. Had the Guinness and Seitan Pie and was very impressed. Really really good. Thinking about having it again tomorrow because we're in Belfast for 2 nights. 🙂

Nice place for drinks and dinner. Wine was labeled vegan. Atmosphere was fun. Food quality was very good. Service was excellent. Would have loved to try their outside option but weather did not permit.

Not bad - Edit
Three or four decent vegan options, they didn't have the cauliflower pie I wanted so I had the burger and it was a bit bland! Good that they have wines and drinks listed as vegan though

Great vegan menu and great food - Edit
Omni restaurant with a good-sized vegetarian and vegan menu (most veggie options are vegan). The cauliflower wings starter was delicious, and between us we had the chili non carne, spiced cauliflower pie, and veggie burger as mains. All really tasty and hearty, and the omnivore with us was very happy with her meat dish - it's not always a given to find somewhere where everyone is satisfied with the food on offer, particularly when your party is a mix of veggie, vegan and omni.

Good vegan menus - Edit
This restaurant has a good selection of vegan and vegetarian starters, mains and desserts, including seitan tagine, lentil and nut roast, veggie burgers and chickpea and spinach curry. To start, I had the falafel with apple, celeriac and beetroot salad, followed by the very tasty vegan sweet potato sausages with mash and onion gravy. Dessert was a vegan frangipane tart and vegan ice cream. The service is good and the prices are reasonable.

Great vegan options! - Edit
I visited Acton & Sons for an evening meal last Saturday. I had never been before and booked the table the night before just in case. I was glad I did because the place was packed when we went! Great atmosphere. Lovely and warm. Very inviting. Pleasant staff.
Read moreThe menu was great - it had a vegan and vegetarian section, with most dishes being vegan or vegan adaptable. It was hard to choose but I tried the Vegan Bourguignon for dinner, followed by the Vegan Raspberry and Frangipane Tart for dessert. Every bite was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend a visit. I can't wait to return!

Delicious Vegan Options are available on a separate Vegan menu. I had the lentil loaf with gravy, and baked yams with Chinese broccoli and snow peas. They also have a couple of vegan desserts.

Wonderful lunch! - Edit
My partner and I tried this restaurant for the first time and were not disappointed! As mentioned before, the dedicated veg*n menu is very creative and flavourful! I had the Moroccan tofu with harissa; a very good portion size and a fantastic balance between spicy and sweet ingredients. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Just be sure to mention if you are vegan if ordering a vegan dish as it may have to be adapted. The menu does state that there are vegan wines and beers available, however they also listed a dessert with honey as vegan, so it may be best to double check. I was extremely happy with my meal and will definitely be returning!
