The Acorn a wonderful quick healthy stop! - Edit
Driving through Winnipeg, used the app to find this little jewel in down town. Mash chickpea sandwich sooo yummy! Try a mixture of cacao matcha latté with dandelion latté!

We need more shops like the Acorn Cafe! - Edit
Friendly staff and a wide selection of products, food and other shopping. They have reduced hours and capacity due to the pandemic but were very accommodating. It was awesome to see a 100% vegan menu and be able to order anything freely. They also have a vegan fromagerie with plenty of choices - something I've missed!

Good coffee and atmosphere - Edit
Acorn is located inside a cool sustainability shop with a few tables and chairs to sit and eat. Unfortunately, the lady told us that now on Saturdays there are no lunch food or smoothie options because she's the only one in the store (could been helpful to update their website). All that's available is coffee, pre-made food (as a first come first served, so by noon there was barely anything left) and some baked goods. The latte and cookie was really tasty but kind of pricey. The milk options are organic soy, oat and macadamia nut. Would have liked to try some of the food options and the vegan cream cheese as I went there based on the reviews of that.

Cons: No food on Saturday, Pricey

This is definitely my favourite place to eat. I only go to treat myself every once in a while and their menu never fails! Their soups, sandwiches and desserts are all soooo amazing! On top of all that, all of their plates/bowls/cutlery etc is compostable!!

A must see when in Winnipeg - Edit
Tried the Nanaimo bar, bagel with in house made ‘cream cheese’ with micro greens, and some coffee. It was delicious and is located inside a wonderful shop called generation green which sells all sorts of low waste products, vegan products, bulk items, and locally made products.

Beautiful - Edit
We stopped by this cafe this morning and had coffee and everything bagels with cream cheese. The shop is beautifully located and the staff were really nice. Everything was super delicious but a tad over priced.. it cost us 20$ for coffee and bagels. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Come for the shopping, stay for a bite - Edit
I love the Generation Green store, but hadn't been since they moved locations and opened the cafe. I came in with high expectations, and was not disappointed. I had a delicious samosa and was very tempted by most everything else on the menu.

Happy Customer! - Edit
Had some nice coffee here, and they've got a good selection of cafe food items. The fact that they don't serve dairy makes this place great for vegans who don't want to feel like second class citizens when ordering (lol) Not many places to sit, but good for on the go 👍

Healthy yummy vegan eats - Edit
This cafe is super awesome! Winnipeg's first all vegan cafe (that I know of) that features a range of goodies and healthy latte options. The beet-ginger latte and turmeric latte are a few of their options. They aim to be a completely sustainable and local store so bringing your own to-go cup is encouraged.
Read morePros: vegan, eco-friendly, local, healthy options
Cons: limited seating
