Little vegan options

Beautiful vegetarian Café but unfortunately there are almost no vegan options. Had the Avocado bread, which was nice. The coffee ist amazing. I expected more vegan options in a vegetarian Café.

Poorly organised

Little on the menu that is actually vegan: avocado smash and a burger.

The system is: (1) reserve your table (2) queue interminably to pre-pay. If you have not reserved a table, they will not take your order.

I gave up and walked away.

Pros: Open on Sunday

Cons: Little that is vegan, Poorly organised

Comida

Recomendable.

Not worth the walk

We were looking for breakfast and Abigail's had been mentioned as good for vegans, but we agree with the recent reviews that there's not enough to choose to make it worthwhile. We didn't bother staying

Cons: Not enough vegan options

Vegan options limited

Similar to previous reviews, there are limited vegan options. Avocado on toast, burger and burrito with no egg. Usually find that vegetarian restaurants offer plenty for vegans as well, not the case here.

Pros: Open Sunday , Atmosphere , Friendly staff

Cons: Expensive , Lacks vegan options , People smoking in outdoor area

Not that vegan friendly

This place just rubs me the wrong way. I haven’t been to many vegetarian places that don’t really seem to care about the vegans. This is one of them. Avocado toast and Beyond burgers just don’t cut it anymore. The first is just an overpriced cliché past the fad and the second has to be left for emergencies in meat restaurants. This leaves us with a burrito and a falafel dish. Take out the eggs from the first and the feta from the latter. No replacements or extras - c’est la vie, they call it the vegan tax.
Sadly for Abigail’s there are better vegan options is some of the omni restaurants in Lagos. One could say that it’s better to support a vegetarian restaurant at least, but they pedal eggs and dairy so heavily it really doesn’t make any difference, and the owners also own meat-focussed restaurants that serve burgers with patties that weigh a whole kilo.
I have eaten in Abigail’s probably at least five times and although everyone’s business needs to turn a profit, I hate being an afterthought at my expense. So yeah, hence the rant. Thank you.

Tone deaf chefs who think that just removing ingredients from vegetarian dishes keeps vegans happy

The lady who approached me on my recent visit to see if they had improved should NOT work in hospitality. She has no training and is unable to be polite.

There are quite a few places in Lagos that would never ever work in the real world where people were not just on holiday and desperate to eat and this place is at the top of that list.

The vegan 🌱 burrito needs to have tofu scramble in it as why should plant based eaters not get the same value for hard earned money as vegetarians?

Needs air-con as NO air flow inside the property dreadful experience.

The future is vegan 🌱

Nice vegetarian cafe with healthy options

Nice cafe with lots of tables outside and a good vibe. There's some vegan options and others, like the breakfast burrito, can be veganized.

Tried the avocado toast and the beyond burger both were good portions and good quality, even if the avocado needed a bit more salt and the beyond burger was slightly overpriced, but tasty and well seasoned.

The brownie was on the heavier side but very tasty.

The juices were quite ok.

Pros: Vegan options!

Amazing pancake tacos!

Never had pancake tacos before and these were sooo tasty. Service very slow even though there were only a couple of other customers.

Yum beyond meat burger!

Could do with some vegan options without avocado (that’s not my thing!) but the burger was gorgeous. Slightly expensive but the staff were friendly and a lovely setting

Brunchin’

One of the best places to have a decent vegan brunch in Lagos. Although a little expensive, the quantity and quality of the food seems to make up for it. The pancakes are *chef’s kiss* ✨

Pros: Vegan options, Pancakes, Nice, bright place

Cons: Expensive

Reasonable

On the surface a lot of options but a lot of egg dishes and the eggs are NOT free range. We had a burger which tasted very meaty, and a bowl . The food was rather salty

Cons: a bit salty, eggs not free range

Don’t go there

Really disappointed. They removed a lot of vegan options, for example the smoothie bowls that can be seen in the pictures are not available anymore. The only „brunchy“ option now is the avocado toast which is an absolute joke since its only avocado and a little bit of crumbs for 8€… The only good thing was the service. I would recommend to go to goji lounge or sweet&temptation instead.

Avo toast 🌱

Today I had lunch at Abigail’s. I was hoping to get a smoothie bowl but the smoothie bowls were not on the menu anymore. I asked for the salad of the day but it was sold out. Therefore I choose the avo toast, nothing special. I was hoping for better.

Pros: Clearly labeled vegan options , Nice staff , Great coffee Americano

Cons: Could have more vegan options , Food was not outstanding

Delicious vegan food, could use more vegan alternatives

The food was great, I tried the avocado smash with mushrooms and it was so delicious! The vegan brownie was one of the best I have ever had. But it would be nice to see a few more vegan alternatives, like tofu scramble and vegan cheeses. They did have vegan lattes though which was cool😄

Pros: Food was really lovely , Vegan desserts

Cons: Not enough vegan alternatives

Good café, needs more vegan options ;)

Abigail’s is a nice vegetarian café, with a couple vegan options (avocado toast and beyond burger). The portions are big and the food is good! It could be even better if it had more vegan options (tofu and vegan cheese would be great additions)😄

Pros: Big portions , Has oat milk, Nice staff

Cons: Lacks more vegan options

Came across Abigail’s while out walking. My parents were impressed, they are not vegan. It was great to see. Great choice of food. Away with a budda bowl, looks amazing. Going to try here for a breakfast. Staff are friendly. Good choice of food and drinks.

Pros: Lots of vegan and vegetarian opts
