Really good - Edit
Hard to find Ethiopian food in San Diego County. I thought that I might have to return to the Washington, DC or Philadelphia areas. But, this was really good quality. There is only the one vegan option: the vegetarian combo. It was very tasty and included several elements: yellow split peas, potatoes and carrots, collard greens and a couple other purées. The injera is all teff and was great. Three stars because of limited options and it looked like the sambusa was made with butter. But, I didn’t ask.

Market & Restaurant - Edit
Abay is a small Ethiopian market and restaurant. I initially stopped by after being in the area and looking for some injera. The injera is really good, so much so that my boyfriend and I ate a piece on the way home. The market also had other vegan items such as spices, grains, drinks, and tea. In the back, there is a small restaurant with a vegetarian platter that the person working told me is vegan.
