Nice surprise! - Edit
I went for lunch not realizing it was 100% vegan. At the counter I said “I’m vegan, can you help me order?” to which the staff exclaimed “So are we! Order anything!” I got the sabeeh plate which was very delicious. Will be back!

Cozy Little Falafel Joint - Edit
I had the falafel platter, quite a generous portion including hummus, pita and salads. Finished up with the baklava , of course. Very tasteful everything.
Read moreIn the true tradition of falafel shops it’s a small specialty menu. The seating is a little tight but it works.

Vegan oasis - Edit
My family of 5 truly enjoyed our lunch at Aba’s Falafels! We are all gluten free and they easily accommodate that issue here. We tried a little of everything and it was all delicious. Do not miss the melt in your mouth falafels. Well worth the deep fried cheat on my diet.

I’ve traveled over 2 hours just for this food - Edit
As stated in the title of this review, I love this place’s falafel sandwiches so much that I’ve been known to travel from Schenectady to Rhinebeck and back just to get one. (Or, more typically, to get two…one to eat right away and one to eat later.) It’s my favorite falafel sandwich of any that I know.

🌱🌟Falafel Super Stars! 🌟🌱 - Edit
Vegan owned and operated by a family of superstar vegans from the Eastern banks of the Mediterranean, this is the only business in Rhinebeck suitable for vegans to patronize, which is just fine because it's outrageously delicious, fair and affordable and makes a fantastic staple with fresh daily soups and amazing salads and why not help yourself to all the hot sauce you can brave, and pickled peppers?
Read moreServed here, are also the tastiest falafels I've ever encountered anywhere, simply magical. Theirs are an interesting blend of Jersualem (yellow) with lots of fresh herb, possibly parsley or coriander that make them appear green (like Egyptian Ta'Miya) though definitely light inside and crisped to perfection. Never had falafels this delicious. Not in Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Israel these will always be the falafels of my dreams.
Whatever you do, try the fresh pita and hummus too.
So happy to see them still in business with a renovated kitchen counter and more seating in the small easement on the side of the house.
This is certainly the saving grace of an otherwise horrific food desert of overpriced creepy slaughterfaced animal abusing murder monsters in an unfortunate, dreadful and disgusting, but beautiful little town of terrible people doing terrible things to innocent animals. These are the real humble heroes of Rhinebeck.
To'da Aba's!

Very good, not overpriced like many places in Rhinebeck. Must try. Falafel was crispy on outside, super fluffy and flavorful on the inside. Served with amazing pita and salad.

Fantastic Falafel! - Edit
I have no excuse for not going here more often or for taking so long to write a review. This place is great. The falafel sandwich is enormous and chock full of crunchy veggies and perfectly spice falafels with plenty of tahini sauce. All this inside of a fluffy, house made pita pocket, it is total enjoyment in every bite. Bonus points for the baklava made with agave & date syrup. Nice group of employees working in a small area with efficiency and friendly interaction add to the overall experience. The beautiful town of Rhinebeck has yet another benefit, bring your appetite!

Great falafels! - Edit
This place reminds me of a falafel stand I went to in Paris years ago. The sandwich I had there made such an impression on me that I had to order the falafel sandwich here as well, foregoing the larger falafel plate. The pita bread, falafel, and sauce were all excellent. I wish they were less oily, but I understand that this vegan restaurant is aiming to satisfy the average palate, including nonvegans. The place was packed, but there were plenty of tables outside: in front, along the side of the building, and in the back, so that we were easily able to get a table after we got our food.

Believe the Hype - Edit
My first time going today, and it was really good. I grew up in Queens eating both Israeli and Arab falafels my entire life and I can be real picky. The falafel was in the top 5 I ever had, and I will be back. My only small complaint is that as a tomato hater I wished they had their salad pieces separately as I would have like the cucumbers. But that is just a personal taste thing.

Best falafel I've ever had, VGF to boot! This is one of those times where a gf person isn't left looking at everyone's plates around them and feeling like they got the short end of the stick.

Reliable, Delicious Food & Heart Warming Experience - Edit
Love, love, love! My family and I have been coming here for years and we are never disappointed with anything on the menu. Easily the best falafel in the Hudson Valley. Although I do recommend stopping by on a warmer day- the outdoor seating was a bit chilly.

I recently discovered this gem and I can’t believe that I have lived 5 years in the Hudson Valley without Aba’s. The food is so comforting and very flavorful. It nourishes the body and soul and makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. That’s good stuff.

So good you wanna dance - Edit
I fantasize about Aba’s at least three times a week. I get the falafel plate, which comes with falafel, pita, and hummus, salad, and I always ask for olives on the side. I’m never disappointed, and it is well worth the 30-minute drive. The soups and baklava are fantastic, too. At a pricy average of $20 per person after tax and tip, it’s definitely a treat and not a regular thing, but it’s well worth it.
