Pasta Nonna without cheese

They left out the cheese and the pasta Nonna were then perfectly vegan. They also have several other vegan dishes (starters) on the menu.

Pros: Pasta Nonna without cheese , Bruschetta

Cons: No Main dishes were apriori vegan

Very few vegan options

This should not be listed as vegan friendly when there are only 2 or 3 actual vegan options.

And do visit the lava cave!

Lovely local eatery. Though they have signs to say they love vegan, there isn’t much on the lunch menu that is vegan. However they were happy to veganise some of the vegetarian items. It was adequate vegan lunch - not exciting! But adequate - but the lava cave below made it a very worthwhile stop!

I just looked at the menu

The waiter offered me only one dish from the menu. I am attaching a picture.

Fine

There weren't a lot of vegan options. The dishes were labelled as vegan, which was informative. The taste of the rosemary potatoes was fine. I wasn't a fan of the grilled vegetables. The food was fine but it wouldn't hurt to skip this restaurant. The waiters were very friendly.

Pros: Friendly waiters

Cons: Not a lot of options, Wasn't really tasty

Beware of the cave!

First of all, note, that this place has a little secret. Underneath the restaurant there’s a lava cave that you can visit for just 1 Euro if you ask the staff about it.

Second, sadly they suspended the weekly vegan lunch.

But they still offer clearly labeled vegan options plus some vegetarian options can be veganised. Just ask the staff and they’ll help you to get a good and typical meal.

Not bad!

More then usual vegetarian (also labeled in the menu) options. Only few vegan - more like side dishes or starters.

Pros: Separate smoking and non-smoking areas, Vegetarian options labeled in the menu, They don't use artificial spices, only fresh herbs

Cons: Chaotic service, Few vegan options

Good couscous

Was sad they didn't have vegan pizza, but the couscous had a vegetable soup with chickpeas that was perfect idk if they always have it because it was day menu, but I highly recommend, filling and nutritious

Pros: My dish was good

Cons: Limited vegan options

Great food!

The vegan options are clearly marked (but only in the digital menu, not in the printed version).

Tasty!

The only vegan options are starters of which we tried the bruschetta, the hummus and the sautéed field vegetables. These were all tasty and the price seemed fair.

There’s also pizza and pasta that can be ordered without cheese, but no inherently vegan option here.

The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, the staff was very friendly.

Pros: Friendly staff, Fair prices , Tasty starters

Great pizza

I ordered the pizza with grilled veggies without the cheese and it was super tasty.
The menu had some starters, that were marked as vegan, but we didn’t try it.
Overall a very nice place to sit and enjoy dinner.

Pros: Great pizza, Vegan starters

Lots of food for cheap prices

Had a variety of appetisers which were all delicious. Hummus came with bread. Bruschetta was our favourite! Tip: ask staff to see the cave downstairs:)

Vegan starters on the menu

The printed menu is only Italian, we used the QR coded one where there are many language options.
Ably starters were marked as vegan, we had hummus- very basic, baked potato with fresh herbs- was good as we were really hungry and bruschetta which was really delicious.
Plus two bottled mixed juices with vegan logo on it.🙂
It was enough for two of us.

Pros: Clear vegan marked meal on the menu

Nice Dinner and Cocktails

We came here a couple of times. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Everyone knew what vegan means and they even veganized a vegetarian dish for us!
The bruschette are so nice and so are the Cocktails! Pina Colada, for example, is dairyfree and soo good!

Pros: Delicious vegan marked Krams, Very good atmosphere at outside seating, Nice staff

Ask for additional items

The menu has several vegan options. When I asked they were also able to make several additional options. I had a really nice meal and I would come back. It’s frequented by locals and unassuming.

Cons: Need to ask for extra vegan items

Loud music, no menu in the cave

I have to honestly say: I haven't eaten there.
We have never gotten this far.
The first evening that we planned on eating there they played very loud italian rap music which was not really what I want when I'm out dining.
The second time we decided to try the cave hoping that the music wouldn't be that loud in there. The ambient was great, but: we were handed a online menu (QR-Code) but there's no wifi and no reception down there. I walked outside to open the menu and back down it couldn't reload. They didn't offer any help with this so we decided to leave again.
Get an English menu or at least a wifi network in your cave.

Atmosphere great, options not so great

After seeing a good list of options before arriving we were informed that they no longer use that menu. All that was available was pizza without cheese and a few different starters.
Other than that this place is amazing on a Saturday night with music and vibes.
They also do cocktail sours with aquafaba instead of egg!

Pros: Cocktail sour with aquafaba

Cons: Menu a bit limited

Worth visiting, especially on a Sunday!

First time I went here I just had the hummus, which I found to be slightly grainy and served with too-crispy bread sticks. HOWEVER, on a Sunday return visit I had the €15 vegan lunch which was made up of 6 delicious components, including a chilled pumpkin soup; vegetable “nest” with noodles, soy patties and black rice with exotic vegetables. All these elements were inventive and unusual and very nice. Also highly recommended is the vegan caprese (basically a rich chocolate torte , balanced well with almond granita) and the bulgur wheat salad.

Pros: Sunday lunch - good value and good flavours , Had vegan dessert options, well labelled in menu

Cons: Hummus was a bit weird
