Interesting place - Edit
I found this place really interesting, and although the food was a bit bland I really loved the open plan kitchen with all the fresh vegetables laid out ready to cook - it's a cool concept. The staff were knowledgeable about vegan food and explained the options clearly - it's a set lunch so you basically get what you're given - either the veggie option or the vegan one.
Read moreIt's definitely worth a visit for the experience (but maybe not so much the food).
Pros: Fresh produce, Interesting concept
Cons: Bland food, Minimal choice

So glad to find this place just a few mins from the square.
Read moreWe visited on a Friday and were so pleased that the set menu was all Vegan.
Great value set menu for €10pp including drink, hummus and bread, main course and baked apple. All of the food was super tasty and beautifully presented. Wine was €2 per glass. The kitchen is open which was nice to see, there are a few small tables outside. Would def recommend.
Pros: Excellent Value, Speak English well, Great tasting food
Cons: Just a few small outside tables

Delicious and fresh - Edit
Really simple cuisine and maybe no real vegan desserts than fruits but the meal was really really good. It tastes like you cook at home and it seems so fresh.

Lovely staff.

Amazing food that tastes like home - Edit
Loved my meal at A Praça! It's super filling, comes in decent sized portions and at 10 euros for a soup, main dish, drink and dessert, you really can't beat it.

What a wonderful place! - Edit
Three of us scoured Happy Cow for a place to eat in Sintra that would meet our timing and location requirements and we settled on A Praca. The meal was so good that we went back for another lunch and ate there twice in our two-and-a-half day visit. The environment is charming (don't let the trays fool you) and it's comforting to have only one choice! We all loved our meal and so did two more people we brought along the second time. You may want to call in advance to find out what's cooking in case you don't eat something on the day's menu -- or just be daring! The little bakery that's in the same space is also delightful and had a delicious vegan brownie cake the day we were there. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A bit disapointed - Edit
I had high expectactions but was a bit disapointed when i visited. It had one dish of the day which was a salad, and the vegan option was taking out the cheese (same price tho). The portions were not enough (for me). The quality of the ingredients used was great and the staff was really friendly.

Délicieuse cantine végétarienne - Edit
Excellent repas.

Excellent lunch menu. - Edit
One of the few vegan options in Sintra. We really enjoyed the food. They have a different vegetarian menu everyday, which sometimes is also vegan. If not, they will make an extra dish which is vegan.
Read moreThey mostly use seasonal and local products from Sintra and create a pleasant menu out of them.

Lovely seasonal food - Edit
This place is just a 15 minute walk away from Quinta da Regaleira. It’s a nice restaurant located in an old market building. The ladies here cook great food using only seasonal local grown ingredients! The set menu is vegetarian but is easily adjusted to make it vegan. The almond chocolate tart was delicious!

They have a daily menu, with soup, starting dish, desert and water for 10€. They advertise ad vegetarian but have vegan dialy option, which is the one I took.
They only work with fresh and local veggies.
I had salad (lettuce, tomato and cucumber), small kind of mini pizza, lentils soup, peach as desert.
Really great staff, very friendly, and speak english!

Loved the place and the people - Edit
This place is a lovely find in Sintra given the fact that it is a challenge to find a spot that serves vegetarian- let alone vegan food. It’s a bit hidden in between the other bars but just look out for a black sign on the ground outside with the poster of “A Praca Sintra”.
Read moreThe people are very, very kind and will most likely ask themselves if you’d like a vegan or a vegetarian menu. If you go for a complete menu, and I reccomend that you do, you get fruit infused water, an appetizer, a warm dinner-like meal of the day, and a bowl of fruit. All fresh. All lovely. You can sit inside or outside. Even though the little terrace seems to be owned by the other bars.
When we were there, they didn’t serve any coffee. But the other places did.
Pros: Complete vegan meal., Only €10., Kind owners.
Cons: Bit hard to find., Quite the climb to get there.
