5* - Traditional Portuguese Food made Vegan - Edit
I've ordered their food over 10 times and I really like most of it. They also had a booth at the Vegan Festival through Santos Populares where I could try some more of their things.
Read moreMy favorite dish from their list is the Legumes à Brás, it's really good!
Update: 31-07-2023
Now "A Minha Avó" has a physical space where you can eat, it's not only take-away! Which is great news and that's mostly the part I want to review, but also focusing on ordering their take-away 20 or so times in the past year.
The food is tasty as always, but I noticed a trend where the "main content" was decreasing a bit, and the "lower ingredient" was being favored, like the "Arroz de Pato" with a lot of rice and very few mushrooms or the "Brás" with lots of potato and not so much vegetables. Maybe I was just unlucky in the last few online orders as at least in-person at the restaurant yesterday this did not happen and everything was good and quite balanced.
Now let's go to the review of the meal at the restaurant itself.. because of the last few experiences with the takeaway I was a bit skeptical.. and once I arrived and saw the venue, which might be nice for some people but it's not my cup of tea.. (both on the space itself and the decor). I was even more skeptical.... but I love being proven wrong.
Had a starter, the "Octoplus Salad" and it was good, if I want to nit pick I would add just a little more salt and a little less oil, but it was quite ok.
Than we had the Brás which was quite good and balanced in the potato to vegetables + tofu proportion (and I don't even remember the takeaway one having tofu.. if it did it was very little), to be perfect it just lacked a little of black pepper and I also had the meat roll with celeriac purée and spinach.. It was also quite good, especially the spinach (I just wish there was more!!! if you make such good spinach, give me a lot of it😄:) ).
For dessert, had the "Bolo de Bolacha" which was quite good tbh, I think they have the best vegan bolo de bolacha I've had.
Service was good and kind.
All in all, I totally recommend it, and I'm surely to go there more often to try the other dishes. Just wish they did something different with the venue and made it more "portuguese traditional" like as it's the concept of the food.

They recently opened the restaurant at the new location and it was my first time trying their food.
Read moreWe had the Bitoque, the Arroz sem Pato and as a Starter the Salada sem Polvo. The dessert was Pastel de Nata.
All food was delicious, really home flavour taste. The Bitoque was a surprise!
Will surely come back!

Restaurant was closed - Edit
The restaurant was closed at 13:30, there was no sign or any information what time will it open again. Roughly ~10 of us - all different groups - was waiting and wanted to get in for lunch with no success.

I will make a return visit - Edit
Happy to report that the trek to this cloud kitchen was worth it. I was a little skeptical as a first time visitor to Lisbon, venturing to parts unknown, down a path that was not very populated at dusk, was a bit daunting; but once I arrived I was good. Those outside waiting for their orders may have sensed that I was a newbie and assisted me with placing my order online while the person working the kitchen made the recommendation which I welcomed.
Read moreThe food was rather tasty and plentiful - I wish I had ordered more as many items looked delicious. Hopefully on my return visit to Lisbon, this place will still be there.

The best vegan traditional food 💛 - Edit
"A Minha Avó", means "My Grandmother", and it totally feels like your grandma cooked 😜 As a portuguese person who tried the non vegan traditional portuguese food, these vegan versions are sooooo similar, it's insane! I love the "bacalhau" com natas, arroz de "pato" and the chocolate salame. Very central in Lisbon and the team is the sweetest

Great takeaway! - Edit
I ordered from their Christmas menu and got the “bacalhau” com natas which was enjoyed by vegans and non vegans alike! They were also super friendly and quick sorting my very last minute order. Would highly recommend.

Delicious traditional food - Edit
Just keep in mind that it's just a kitchen, sharing space with other kitchens. You can ask in the counter for the menu of the vegan one and the boss will come out to assist you.

They cook traditional Portuguese cuisine in vegan options. The restaurant's name is “My grandmother”, and the food offers this comfort like eating a grandma's food. This is my favorite food in Lisbon.

Note- their current (Apr 2022) hours are different from what it says here, check their website first. The owner and chef are super nice and friendly, he wrote the name (in Portuguese) of each dish on the container which I really appreciated and even added some really cute drawings.
