Yummmmmm - Edit
Finally got to try here after a long time of wanting to! Fish and chips were delicious, curry sauce 👍 and we picked up some bakes (coffee cupcake and walnut whip were great). Reasonably priced too. Will be back!

Best take away in the whole world - Edit
The vegan and vegetarian food that is out of this world. Lots to choose from and the chef keeps adding new, delicious food to it. The cakes are incredibly tasty and the owner is lovely. Could recommend a place more!

Fantastic Deli - Edit
Absolutely my favorite spot to stop for a sandwich and baked treat! I’ve been working my way through the menu, and haven’t had anything less than delicious. Don’t miss the “fish” and chips on Fridays.

Love chippy night - Edit
I really love the vish and chips and am grateful that gluten free diets are so well catered for. It would be good to see a couple more vegan options on the menu.

Absolutely amazing! - Edit
Absolutely my favourite place for vegan food! Been twice so far, but I've tried 9 different cupcakes and cakes, fish and chips, and cheese. Not once have been disappointed, always top quality, and amazing customer service. Makes my day every time. My partner is omni but he loves their food too. 110% recommend! Great prices too, not expensive at all, would pay more for this food.

Let’s be ‘aving you - Edit
A quite jaw dropping moment took place at the end of June 2017 when the deli introduced a traditional British Friday night fry up. Battered vegan tofu and nori "fish" and chips, battered sausages, mushy peas, curry sauce and old school chip shop chips. The home-made curry sauce is outrageously good. Freshly fried to order, very well presented and fairly priced at £6.50 for the fish and chips. As of post COVID lockdown Summer 2020 a new range of sweet and savoury items have been introduced to the regular deli menu such as sausage rolls, onion bhajis, sushi boxes, various types of vegan cakes and a truly fabulous range of home made vegan “cheezes”. It’s all happening.

Lovely food - Edit
The deli seems to have many more vegan option s than the restaurant so I normally choose the deli. I used to love the breakfast bap but they stopped doing the tofu and then they switched to linda macs which wasn’t nearly as nice as the cheatin sausages. The quesadilla is very good and the cashew cheese is incredible, especially the pepper jack.

Stopped for a sarnie and sausage roll. It was ok but cod be so much better with a few updates. Nicer bread and looking at better sausgar and bacon recipes
Pros: lots of vegan

It certainly does, the Friday night fry up is very special. Fish and chips, battered sausage and chips with a portion of curry sauce thank you very much. Excellent!!

great veggie &vegan take out - Edit
Great expansion for Sky Apple. They serve a good selection of savoury and sweet veggie and vegan take out delights. The aroma on entry ensures you are feeling hungry and they seem to do a good trade. The vegan cheese is of a good quality and they have some unusual flavours. They also have some lovely vegan cakes, I love their miniature vegan Victoria sponge cake. I envy those who are able to frequent this fine take away regularly.

A little piece of heaven - Edit
For those unaware of the Sky Apple Cafe, it now has its own deli next door that offers an excellent choice of sandwiches, salads, wraps and street food as well as vegan cakes, which is perfect if you want a quick lunch or if you have time, my advice is to take your lunch and eat it in Heaton Park which is opposite. A great new addition to the Newcastle vegi/vegan scene.
