A Good Stop for Appetizers - Edit
Despite the description, they do NOT have vegan nachos, as confirmed by the chef. We got the vegan Mac and cheese balls ($12 for 6 small balls) and vegan bbq wings ($15 for 6). The bbq sauce was a bit too spicy for two of my little kids and made my own tongue numb. The third little and teenager loved them!
Read moreMy husband got a non vegan burger- the portion size was generous and didn't lack for flavor. The prices for vegan food are a bit too steep for us to make a meal of it but, about average considering it's a bar and they're vegan.
Customer service was phenomenal, he couldn't have been kinder!
Three vegan appetizers, one non-vegan burger and two iced teas racked up to $70! 😱
Pros: Great service
Cons: Quite Pricey, Limited options, Bar, not restaurant

Great beer, cider and vegan options - Edit
We stopped on a whim
Read moreAnd so glad we did. Vegan options easily identified on the menu, a bit pricy for what it is. But we were happy to support a place willing to go out on a ledge and have all of these vegan items available. We got the wings and Mac and cheese balls - gluten free!! And noticed they can veganize any of their burgers too
Special of the day was a mushroom soup which we also had
Great beer and cider list for those that wish to partake
Pros: Easily identified vegan options , Great service, Great atmosphere
Cons: Pricey!

Great Vegan Options, Friendly Service. - Edit
I placed a phone order for pickup, the server who helped me was nice and knew which menu items were vegan. I had the Vegan Hot BBQ Wings, Vegan Mac & Cheese Balls, and Vegan Crabcake salad, and everything was great!

Friendly with vegan options! - Edit
Ordered the house made veggie burger and vegan wings. The house made veggie burger I thought wasn’t that spicy but had the perfect blend of spices inside- it was flavored very well. It appeared to be mostly black beans inside. i liked that it was a black bean burger that didn’t taste southwesty. The bun it was served on could have been bigger tho. We also got the vegan wings- they were okay- i think could have been better with a different sauce- we got the prickly pear bbq and i couldn’t really taste it. The consistency of the wings more meatball like than pulled chicken like though. I did enjoy very much both dishes tho and left full. The waitress was very nice as well and the inside was cutely decorated for Halloween during my visit.

Not quite up to our expectations! Van burger was SPICY AF - Edit
We found this place using the happy cow App, we were starving after shopping at Woodbury commons, and we were so excited to read about the vegan options! Cute place, great decorations, welcoming when we walked in. Mom and I ordered vegan "burgers" first off, the iced tea tasted like water and the lemonade may have been crystal light. The veggie burger was SO spicy i almost couldn't eat it. I asked the waitress what was in it, and she said they mix the veggies with the "rigor mortis" sauce. OMG 6 hours later my throat is still burning!!! when I told the waitress how spicy it was, she said "she didn't know they used that sauce" and I double checked and there was no mention of it being spicy on the menu. BE WARNED, DO NOT EAT THIS IF YOU DONT LIKE OR CANT EAT SPICY FOOD!!!! WHOA!!!! The house cut fries were decent and my daughters regular burger she described as "average at best." Nothing was taken off our bill. We were starving and we ate it, but we won't go back. Be warned, that veggie burger could clear your sinuses and then some. Yikes!!!!

Great vegan friendly options! - Edit
I thoroughly enjoyed eating at ‘A Better Place’! The staff were really friendly and the service was quick. I tried the Tyler wings (half buffalo and half barbecue), as well as the vegan Mac and cheese. The wings were delicious with lots of sauce, and even had skewers through the middle like a bone! The Mac and cheese was also nice, although I personally found it a little lacking in flavour (needed a stronger ‘cheese’ flavour and/or some tomato added in).
Read moreOn the whole though, I would definitely eat here again given the chance and recommend giving it a go. It’s also only a short 20 minute walk from Woodbury Commons which is convenient if you’d like to do some shopping!
Pros: Great vegan options that are clearly labeled , Friendly staff and fellow patrons , Nice selection of local beers and ciders on tap
Cons: Food was a little expensive for what it was

A Better Place, DEFINITELY! - Edit
What an awesome find for craft beer lovers, indie rockers and VEGANS! A Better Place definitely IS. Great beers on tap and a decent bar menu with several vegan choices. The Frickles were so good. Delicious sliced dills in a very light beer batter. Perfectly fried and not greasy. The vegan wings are like chewy little drumsticks smothered in your choice of sauce. I opted for Tyler's style ... have buffalo half bbq. They were the best vegan wings I have ever had. The mac n cheese was good as well. It has a cashew/nooch sauce that had a little bit of a kick to it. Overall, it was a great meal at a cool bar and grill.

Great Vegan Bar Food - Edit
A Better Place has many vegan specific options (no need to alter or remove cheese!). There are so few places with (multiple) truly vegan options in the area, so “A Better Place”, is precisely that for us veggies. The location is close to the Woodbury Commons, so if you are looking to escape the crowded food courts, you can take a quick ride down the street for some yummy vegan bar food, great craft beers, and cocktails!
Read morePros: Options for both vegans/vegetarians or non-veg’s, Great rotating beer list, with many local options, Close to Woodbury Commons
Cons: Need vegan blue cheese dressing For Wings, Nachos could use a faux queso or violife shreds

Much needed Vegan Options in Woodbury!!! - Edit
One of the few locals bars in the Woodbury area with a good tap list, full bar and the only one with vegan options! They have been adding options and refining the menu so hopefully with some more vegans being directed their way and with some helpful comments they can increase their vegan options even further. Great wings and choice of sauces as well as a creamy vegan mac and cheese.
