A hippy-ish buffet restaurant. The kitchen puts out plenty of trays of vegetarian mains (main vegan), sides, desserts, many fruits, drinks (teas, juices, access to a smoothie maker) and even kombucha. A lot of the food is Indonesian style with more variety than your typical warung. Serve own food buffet style, then leave the money in a jar on your table (it is pay as you feel with suggested prices) then wash own dishes. Everything in the place is recycled and it's more than likely people will be doing yoga or playing music around a fire. Previously located at Jalan Suweta 32. Open Mon-Sun 10:00am-8:00pm.

Cheap & filling - Edit
The restaurant was a little challenging to find as it was tucked away behind some others and down a random driveway.
Read moreCheap buffet style food which was tasty and filling. You pay a set price per item on your plate. It ended up at 100k for two people with full plates.
My only gripe is it was luke warm when we got it, which increases the risk of getting sick, but we were OK.

Really nice place with cheap food - Edit
The owners are super friendly and chatty. It’s a buffet style place where you get charged by the portion. It’s super cheap and insanely good value for money. So many options and super tasty

Nice setting, great food - Edit
Very generous establishment with great food at low a low price. You serve your own food and wash your dishes, paying through an honesty system. Lots of seating in a lush garden. We were generously given an array of fruits. Definitely recommend - we always left feeling nourished and satisfied

A delicious vegan buffet - Edit
I loved that everything was vegan, fresh & there were heaps of vegetables to choose from. The concept is so cool, with a team of dedicated staff who clearly enjoy what they do, you can taste their dedication. You add up what you eat 10000 Rupiah for rice, 6000 Rupiah per scoop of everything else, which works out to be excellent value & place your money in jars at the counter. The garden seating is comfortable amongst plants & produce. There's even dessert dishes & turmeric drinks.

What an incredible place! - Edit
Wow! incredible place! The food was delicious, the owner very welcoming and the place magical. I felt like I was eating in an enchanted forest! This place is a self-service buffet, and the prices defy all competition! I'll be back with pleasure! Thank you for this incredible meal!
Read moreWhich is good too? That we have to clean the plates ourselves and that this place runs on people's trust. We pay at the end of the meal and put the money in little bottles without any control. It's nice to see that this kind of place still exists!
Pros: literally everything

Wow such wholesome concept. I love that. I wish it were fully vegan to extend that kindness to all. Still, truly lovely showcasing of community culture. 💕

LOVED it here - Edit
I paid 6K per scoop of food with nice veg, tofu and tempeh dishes available. System works on trust and you pay in cash into a bottle. You have to wash your own plate, but was worth it for the fantastic setting and lovely food.

Great to try a variety of dishes - Edit
They label themselves as a vegan buffet but they serve boiled eggs. There were about 12-15 dishes to try, pay per scoop. It ended up being quite cheap, even when I went back for seconds. I loved the vermicelli noodles and the jackfruit chunks in gravy. Beautiful, peaceful garden setting. Make sure you wash your dishes before you leave.

Lovely place with lovely food - Edit
My partner and I picked up food from here to take back and have for dinner, but we were sad we weren't eating in because the atmosphere was so lovely! We could serve ourselves from the buffet-style options and had to add up our own total (we then put our money in one of the jars -- this felt very trusting and definitely added to the warm family -like atmosphere). Everyone was very friendly and the food was impeccable

By far our favorite place in Ubud - Edit
We came here everyday. Tony the owner and his group of staff are the most adorable people. They create a unique atmosphere. The food is cheap and delicious. The garden is beautiful. We feel so lucky to have found this place.

The food is so delicious and everything seems more spacious and clean than the precious location. It’s also been fairly nice and quiet the past two times I’ve been there compared to how crowded it used to be in the old location.

The food was super flavorful, best rice I've had in Bali! A lot of veggie, tofu, Tempe dishes and a great sambal.
Read moreWe felt incredibly welcome by tony, who offers you a taste of everything, comes by to ask if you want some of the banana cake he just baked or to offer you a beer. He gave us a whole pumpkin to take home, not cooked, just as is.
It's a beautiful spot. At the end of the night you make a donation into a glass bottle.
Pros: Vegan buffet, Great host & experience

Liked this place. It tucks away in a small alley that needs a but of hide and seek. The food is marked clearly with how many spoons you can have for one option or so. Loved the pumpkin. The décor is also nice with a garden style.

Not easy to find, but onve you get there, you'll be here every day. Fresh and delicious. I love the tempeh and veggies and selection of rice Lovely older, small woman is cooking all day long. Owners must have so much trust in humanity judging by their payment system. I hope no one dares to use it against them. Beautiful and chilling inside, loads of space and just positive, good, Bali

Great food for cheap - Edit
The woman in the kitchen is so so so friendly and makes amazing fresh Indonesian food. The food is about 50k for a big (really big) plate or 36k for a smaller one. The food is almost always vegan but the pizza restaurant attached serves cheese. It would be amazing to see them make vegan cheese instead and save the cows 🐮😍

Nice, funky, homey place for vegan food - Edit
As the description says, this place is very "hippie". Very comfortable and homey. You can (and are required to) make yourself at home. The buffet had lots of choices -- all vegan when I was there. The drinks were in a cooler. Everything is: help yourself. And everything I had was very tasty. Someone started playing drums while I was eating (also as the description says) -- and they were very good. The buffet kept getting re-stocked while I ate, and I couldn't help but sample a little of every new thing. All tasty. When I left, I did my own dishes, and paid what I thought was a decent amount, and walked away feeling happy.

Disappointed - Edit
Due to the huge amount of really good reviews on this warung, we wanted to try it too. Unfortunately, at our visit there, the staff was not very friendly (they only sat at their table and watched into their phones), the food was not really tasty and we were also disappointed by the hygienic conditions for cleaning the plates. The only positive thing for us was the really delicious banana cake. So, all in all, we would not come again and would also not recommend this warung to any of our friends.
