Food quality no doubt is good, and portion considered ok. But there is absolutely no human touch at all. You cannot clarify with anybody on the ingredients used. You cannot tell the cook whether you want your food spicy or not. You cannot find anybody to clean up spilled food on the table. You cannot find anybody to top up the self-help chilli. One bowl of noodles here can get you about 2 bowls at hawker centre.

Train the robot to read the forgiveness, kindness and mercy on your face and you may just survive when the vegan cyborgs come to clean up the mess left behind by the meat-sacks and their guileless bloodlust. Who do you trust to teach the robots ethics and the value of protecting life, the confused corpse munching disease bags, or the vegans?

Not really, it was bleak all around, 3/3 restaurants weren't vegan 75% of the vendors at the vegan fest weren't vegan either. 729 prolly wasn't vegan owned either, but who knows? Since nobody to ask, but at least the robot doesn't eat meat (yet).

Yes, and just like everywhere else, many lacto-ovo-fukitarian places are getting away with vegan listings here when the owners don't care to check or know when milk or eggs are in their mock meats, or they're selling milk drinks, or only have a separate vegan menu, or when chili sauce contains fish oil, etc. And as a result of not having a data capture point for vegan owned businesses, for whatever awful excuse, it's largely just an empty facade, a false front and a manipulation to separate vegans from their money while peddling lies and animal abuse like the rest of the food service industry. Would be great if someone who knows the owners could speak up.

Best Mee Hoon Kueh in Singapore - Edit
I've had loads of mee hoon kueh (veg and non-veg) all over Singapore, and this one is hands down the best! The kueh is thick and yet chewy, just the way I like it.

Great they're all vegan. This place is configured so staff don't engage with customers; order from a computer screen menu, pay by smartphone. I would've liked to ask questions e.g., are there any non-caffeine drinks, are the drinks pre-mixed with sugar. I thus didn't buy any drinks.

Food is basically starch, mock meat and sauce. Inexpensive.

Small cafe with ample seating with variety of food. Place is run by volunteers of Buddhist organisation. You need Paynow to pay. No cash accepted. Food is simple but delicious.

I ordered Mushroom Mee Kia the noodles was stringy and well coated with the bursting flavours of the sesame oil, mushrooms was soft and chewy just like meat texture the portion is large. Must try bonus points they are open this Lunar New Year frm 10am to 9pm.

Read moreThe restaurant offers 30 main course (SGD4.50 to SGD5.50) and 40 types of fruit juices (all at SGD2.50) Also, they sell rojak and desserts.
Most importantly, the food is not greasy and they do not use many mock food. Simple and healthy food with homely feel to it.
My favourite dish is ABC kway teow soup (tomato based), which is really refreshing and healthy.
Strongly recommended place!
