Good - Edit
Kind staff who took our walk in takeout order. We specified everything vegan, as well as each individual order (ie “Pad Thai, no egg”) but still ended up with one dish that had egg, which was disappointing.
Read moreOtherwise, the food was fast, and tasty. Especially enjoyed that it wasn’t as greasy as most Thai food. Big plus for that. Also appreciate being able to order the tofu steamed instead of fried. Only wish I had more confidence about the food being vegan. This won’t prevent me from trying again.
Pros: Vegetarian menu, Not very oily
Cons: Not made vegan

The food was excellent and the staff were efficient and kind! I wish they had desserts, but I think that's my only critique!

Good food, Great service - Edit
The food was really good. I had tofu green curry with extra basil on the side. This is my favorite dish and I order it often when I eat Thai. This version was excellent. The service was also above average

Worthy of premium pricing - Edit
A little pricier than other Thai restaurants, but totally worth it! Not greasy. Fast and flavorful. There is a specific section dedicated to vegetarian-centric dishes... my favorite being Jay's tofu curry. I also frequently get the massaman curry and the fresh spring rolls. My one criticism is on the fried tofu. It is a little chewy. But, as many are aware, pan frying tofu is a very difficult skill to master. Highly recommend.

Great food - Edit
I got the fried spring rolls, drunken noodles, and volcano tofu and all were delicious. They’ve got a vegetarian section on their menu that specifies items that can exclude fish sauce, which I appreciate.

Wonderful Food and Service - Edit
There are several vegan choices at this friendly, beautiful eatery. We started with fresh rolls, which are served with a peanut dipping sauce. For entrees, my husband had green curry, and I ordered Pad Thai, without the egg. All delicious . I recommend that you order the house tea, a truly special Thai delight. We look forward to returning.

One of my favorite places in Portsmouth! - Edit
This place is located right in the center of downtown Portsmouth. The people are friendly and the food is delicious! They have lots of vegan options and even have a special section on the menu for vegetarian options which makes it easier to know what is available without having to ask about every single dish. It says right on the menu that those dishes are made without fish sauce! Always a concern when ordering these type of food. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Nice! - Edit
This place has a number of easily veganizeable entrées & know which dishes are vegan, though only a few specials are marked as vegan (nothing on their full menu is marked vegan, though they do have vegetarian section). I had the Jay Curry with veggies and tofu (see picture) which was moderately spicey & exactly what I was expecting/wanting. This place is non-veg so may smell a little fishy at times.

Cons: Vegan items inconsistently labeled, Restaurant serves fish (smell)

Great Food - Edit
Thai Bistro was awesome. Fresh thai food with a great menu. I had a dish which consisted of rice noodles, veggies, tofu and peanut sauce. It was perfect. They clearly mark what is vegan on their menu and also have gluten free marks too. I would recommend this place to everyone.
