Restaurant délicieux, riche en saveurs avec le seitan maison !! Portions copieuses et prix raisonnables, super ambiance. Nous avons pris une entrée mixte vegan, une moqueca et une feijoada : incroyable. Le piment maison vaux le détour. Merci beaucoup pour ce voyage gustatif 🙏🏻🌟

A lovely, intimate space just off the main drag - Edit
I arrived dead on the evening opening time and chatted with the server and his partner (their English was better than my French) and learned that he had family in Brighton, my home town. The cafe seats around 20 people and they have menus in French and English.
Read moreI ordered the seitan feijoada and a beer. While waiting a Brazilian ex-pat arrived to collect her weekly take away dinner so that was a good sign. The music was a selection of Brazilian artists and fitted well with the relaxed atmosphere.
The chef popped out at one time to say hello to the diners but we didn't chat. This is an excellent place to eat, the food was amazing and the staff were super friendly.
For the older Happy Cows, who know Nice, the cafe is situated parallel to the street where The Speakeasy restaurant used to be in the 80s and 90s.
Pros: Many vegan options, Friendly staff and chilled vibe, Centrally located
Cons: Not fully vegan but plenty of choices

We had a selection of different vegan starters, followed by feijoada and moqueca. Everything was super tasty and the owner was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately they didn’t have any vegan desserts on the day when we went there but will definitely go back!

Everything we tried was delicious and very creatively spiced, with layered subtle flavors. We started with the mixed appetizers. Everything was vegan, with some great sauces on the side. Then we had the feijoada and the seitan stroganoff, which used a creme fraiche made from soy milk. We chatted with the owner Jefte, a super friendly and interesting guy. He told us that he has never eaten any kind of meat or fish in his life, and now he's in the process of giving up dairy products and eggs. We are only here in Nice for a few days, but will definitely go back before we leave.

The food was delicious and the owner very welcoming. We had the starters plate, my partner had the stroganoff whilst I had the Moqueca. Would highly recommend. The owner cares about cooking, and this is evident from the food on offer.

Really nice owner and homey, welcoming atmosphere. Most dishes are vegan. Tried the super assiette that includes a taste of all their appetizers and the feijoada with homemade seitan. Everything was wonderful, highly recommend.

We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. The dining area is small and we were seated with a lovely French lady. Our visit was at lunchtime and we shared both a mix starter plate and the Feijoda plate. The mixed starter came with a salsa, and it was delicious. We asked for more and added it to our Feijoda plate. For us, it was enough food for two. None of the desserts were vegan. The sangria sounded good but was not available. English menu is available.

A hidden gem in Nice - Edit
I went with my girlfriend and really loved the place. The owner cares about making customers feel welcome and offering quality food. The place is vegetarian and has several vegan options. If we lived in Nice it would be one of our favorite restaurants for sure. Don't miss it if you're in the city!

The staff was extremely friendly and the food was amazing. It is a little confusing on the map because the signs outside say “À-Te-Lier” but when you look at the menu outside, it says Vêjé Viver Bem (I’ve include an Apple maps photo). The decor inside is super charming and cute too! My partner tried this “Guaraná” fruit drink and would also recommend that.

My rusty French caused some eye rolls and sighs when I went out to eat in Nice, so it was lovely coming to Vêjé Viver Bem and being met with nothing but effusive friendliness! I got to try half and half of the vegan starters, the kibe and the fried manioc, and had the feijoada for mains. The portions were generous, everything was very tasty, and the homemade seitan was excellent 👌

Read moreWe had a lovely dinner at Veje - the restaurant is actually labelled À-TE-LIER on the outside. Delicious vegetarian Brazilian food served in a cosy little shop. Our waiter spoke English and was friendly, he kindly explained the vegan options as well. We tasted their white Sangria which was delicious. We got the MANDIOCA FRITA PORTION starter (fried cassava) and the FEIJOADA main (a seitan and black bean stew served with rice and accompanying elements). Both were super tasty and flavourful. Felt like we were at a family dinner. Would highly recommend!

I’m visiting Nice from Los Angeles and discovered Vêjé Viver Bem through HappyCow. As a vegan traveler, I was initially hesitant since it's a vegetarian restaurant, but the positive reviews convinced me to give it a try — and I’m so glad I did!

Magnífico restaurante brasileño vegetariano y con opciones 100% basadas en plantas. El local es muy acogedor y los platos muy sabrosos y preparados con esmero. Hacen su propio seitán, lo que hace que la experiencia ahí sea aún más única! El dueño fue muy amable y nos hizo sentir como en casa desde el primer momento. Se trata de un lugar muy recomendable para quienes quieran disfrutar de buena comida casera y tradicional brasileña y vegetariana, y también para quienes no conozcan estas gastronomías y se quieran llevar una grata sorpresa.
