My family ate here last week and we loved our meals. There were two vegans and four omnivores. We all ordered the chef’s choice. It was a really fun couple hours of constant surprises and delicious eats. Some really amazing flavours and creativity put into each plate. It was such a treat to eat such unique delicious vegan food. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Highly recommend! Would have given 5 stars if the app allowed me to.

This used to be my absolute favourite place to eat on special occasions. Our last visit was such a let down, the greeting was lack luster at best. The restaurant it's self was absolutely freezing, had to eat in my coat. Our table was broken, no menu was avaible, the vegan options were really lacking from past experiences. Overall I was super disappointed $50 for 4 spring rolls and 2 cans of beer, I wouldn't mind if the experience was there but it just wasn't. More atmosphere and passion at timmies.

We ordered the vegan chef’s choice and it was so much food! My mom and I couldn’t eat it all ! Ended up taking a couple dishes home! Everything we ate was so delicious! Definitely left in a food coma!

The menu here changes often and always includes a number of vegan options. I’ve even done the tasting menu and it was incredible. Only con is expensive for small portions but it’s so worth it for a fancy meal.

probably one of the best vegan meals I’ve ever had. Such an innovative restaurant with an excellent vegan menu. Definitely pricier than your typical veg restaurant but 100% worth it. I recommend making reservations! Plus, check out their speak easy and ice cream place next door (same owner) which has amazing vegan options

Of course we love fully vegan restaurants, but Alberta is a super non vegan province and I think we nees to applaud restaurants for trying. And 4296 does far more than try, they make some of the best vegan food I've ever had and they keep it creative and varied. Definitely make sure you book in for Deja Vu, the speakeasy, for some of the best cocktails made by amazing mixologists alongside amazing decor. But wear warm clothing as it's chilly in there due to the ice cream place.

I’ve been vegan for 27 years, and this was the best, most decadent meal I’ve had in memory. My husband isn’t vegan and he agreed- best meal he can remember. We shared the Thai corn dogs, hand “crab” rolls, spiced “foie gras” spring rolls, “caviar” and truffle fries, vegan poke bowl, and the chocolate & hazelnut verrine. We had leftovers. All was fantastic, our faves were the fries, foie gras spring rolls, and the dessert. The table next to us ordered the non-vegan chef’s choice, and they seemed a little remorseful that they didn’t have what we did. We didn’t get drinks besides water, and with the satisfaction of the meal we were not lacking for anything.

This is definitely a 5 star vegan restaurant (despite Happy Cow's rules). The food is so creative, incredibly delicious and satisfying. I've eaten here many times and every vegan dish is astounding. If you've been before you don't need to be told to return, but I'll still say, the menu is always changing and getting better and better as it does!

The best vegan/vegetarian food in the Bow Valley, and Alberta, and beyond, in my traveled experience.
I know a lot of plant-based folks aren't interested in meat substitutes, but I implore you to give these a try.
The KFC SAAM, the 'crab', and the 'Beef' Kushiyaki have been on the menu a while and I recommend. They recently had Chicken Fried Maitake mushroom that was mind-blowing. They also nail egg substitutes. You cannot go wrong with this menu.
Splurge a little and enjoy yourself. Perhaps visit the bar for a more fun and funky vibe (and even more creative cocktails!).

I would have given it 5/5 stars if Happy cow allowed me to. Such incredibly original food. It was so nice to see a chef that actually put a lot of time and effort into creating vegan options for the menu. I’d say almost 70% of the menu if vegan and vegetarian. Every time we tried something new, our eyes would brighten up and it would be an explosion of new exotic flavours in our mouth. GO EAT HERE! The service is impeccable!

Amazing food, service and cocktails - the future of vegan cuisine. Menu is build up to share plates with the table so you can try out different dishes (see uploaded pictures). Highly recommend all of the dishes we tried out (the dill sauce served with the popcorn tofu is to die for) and a special shout out to Maryn for the truly superbe service (I mean hot towels, yes hot towels!).

The service was friendly and non intrusive. This one of my favourite restaurant in Alberta. Food quality and creativity like no other in the province. Although they serve non-vegan food, they dont make the vegan options feel like a second thought.

Read moreBecause.... 4296 has the best vegan food I've ever had... in my life. You need to go here. You need to try every dish. And then, you need to go back. Because, they are constantly changing the menu with new inspirations. About 50% of the menu is vegan, and all of the drinks are vegan.

About 1/2 the menu is vegan. Due to COVID-19 restrictions it was take out only right now - check for current offerings and hours. Nice interior abs upscale menu. We had the best vegan burger ever with an impossible foods patty and vegan cheese and vegan cheese fries on the side.
