First ever salt coffee for me

As well as rebranding as Zero Plant Based menus seem to have been reduced and they have everything in stock now. Prior to temporary closures across their branches there was often very little actually available. I had my first ever salt coffee. The cream on top is absolutely amazing

Friendly service and a good selection of vegan desserts and savouries. However the sweet pastry on the savoury items must be an acquired taste and one I haven’t acquired yet!

Yummy baked goods

Came here for dessert and did not disappoint. We tried the peach macchiato, which was delicious, an egg coffee (quite strong) and two croissants. The garlic & herb was nice, tasted mildly of garlic but a good croissant. The vanilla almond croissant was amazing and I could’ve eaten many more, very nice and delicious.

Staff speaks English very well and the entire menu is available in English. You order on the right side and there is a big sit in area on the left side. There is a bathroom as well. Very comfortable place to sit. They also provide free water and if you stay longer maybe a refill. Outside seats also available.
Croissants seem to have been frozen/not made fresh which is honestly not a problem for me because I’m just glad knowing there won’t be much food waste. Service isn’t fast but it’s good and staff is friendly. Would come back for breakfast or snack!

Came back and tried the Sesame mushroom kimchi pressed rice Banh mi, which seems small but is very filling! Also had a maple cinnamon latte which was very delicious too.

A pleasant bakery and cafe

Cosy interior that looks like a hallway, also with floor seating on a mezzanine floor. Both nicely air conditioned. Croissants and coffee were very good.

Totally best pastries

I love love love the place! The croissants the Bahn Mi were amazing. We came there every day when in HCMC even though rarely repeat food places during travels. A lot of space to seat and the prices are good imho. Also I read the website of the company and they have pretty nice ideology and intention to expand in Vietnam use only local products

Pink banh mi

The banh mi we tried was with a pink gluten-free bread which was lovely. It had a kind of black bean sauce which was a delicious variation on the other banh mi’s I’ve tried here.

Limited selection but great to have vegan pastries!

Between the two of us we tried the pain au chocolat, apple danish and plain croissant. There was limited selection when we visited, presumably secondary to limited demand. The best was the pain au chocolat. The pastries were all individually wrapped in plastic which I didn’t like and were soft rather than crispy. I assume this is because they are not fresh that same day. I recommend getting them warmed for a crispy outside layer.

All that said, it is a real treat to be able to have a vegan pastry!!

Delicious French patisserie in Saigon

Lovely buttery French flavour, friendly staff, delicious! And really cheap (compared to Australia!)! Only downside is they didn’t take card.

Cons: Didn’t take credit card

Great coffee

So nice to be able to indulge and get a proper vegan Vietnamese coffee with a vegan condensed milk. I had the tiramisu flavour and got a small vegan pizza bread which was delicious! You can sit on the street outside.

Bakery for Vegans!

Didn’t have banh mi when I went, but the chocolate croissant and tamarind over drink were perfect for the hot weather.

Good coffee

When we went they only had rolls and coffee - so we didn’t get to try the banh mi.

The coffee was great - we tried corn coffee which tasted lovely.

Omg, missed such stuff soo much

So glad to have found this! The donut was amazing, the pain au chocolat a bit dry but definitely not worse than anything I had in Paris. Really nice! The prices are also more than affordable, especially given Saigon price standard. Definitely recommend!

P.S.: Try their salted caramel donut!!!! It's the best!

Nice but expensive

Went here for a banh mi, which was quite expensive (65k) compare to other banh mi-places. Also located at a crowded street, so you can't really enjoy sitting in front of the store. Lady working there was really nice and spoke English.

Pros: Friendly personnel

Cons: Quite pricy

Thank you, Nien!

Just to kindly clarify, our bánh mìs range from 45k-55k per portion. Our ‘O Plant-based Traditional Bánh Mì’ is 45k (the one you had purchased) and our ‘O Plant-based Special Bánh Mì’ is 55k. In regards to pricing, we do make everything in-house! The aromatic plant-based patê, pickled vegetables, grilled bbq oyster mushrooms, and the fresh Vietnamese baguette! Our ‘O Plant-based Fresh Vietnamese Baguette’ uses traditional fermentation methods to ensure secure gut-health. We take pride in not using preservatives, leavening agents, or crisping agents to provide a 100% natural and clean product!

It was wonderful to have you, thank you for stopping by!

Some good some not so good

Banh Mi was very good minus the chewy mushrooms. Rose Tea was excellent. Savory pastries not my favorite. Desserts in the fridge. Hoping to try the pastries next time.

Pros: Banh Mi , Rose Tea, Fully vegan

Cons: Chewy mushrooms , Savory pastries just ok

Thank you for the feedback, Jay!

We are so delighted to hear that you liked the lychee rose tea.

Our ‘O Plant-based’ bánh mì uses grilled bbq mushrooms for a chewy “meatier” texture to resemble the beloved taste of traditional Vietnamese-style proteins.

In addition, please don’t hesitate to let us know on how we are able to improve our ‘pate chaud’ and ‘samosa’. The lamination? Filling texture? Flavor profile? We continuously strive to progress the quality of our products, to ensure: fulfillment and satisfaction.

We highly value your candor and hope to hear from you soon! The kindness regards.

Nice but not a real bread

I was very happy to try vegan sweets after long time. There are many options to choose from: pastries, mousses, tarts or Banh mi. The staff is super nice and speaks English. My pastries (especially pain au chocolat) turned out to be very crunchy when originally they supposed to be super fluffy😒

Thank you for the honesty! We heavily value your constructive feedback, it allows for us to progress our recipes. Your purchase was made a few months ago in regards to the almond croissant and pain au chocolat; as a result, we have recently updated our lamination process to include more moisture. The interior of our pastries are now a lot fluffier with the added hydration! Hopefully you’ll give us another try.

Interesting "egg" coffee and many baked goods

We tried the pate chaud, pain au chocolat, one donut and the tiramisu. Everything was tasty. The "egg" coffee was interesting. It didn't taste like coffee because there was so much cream. But for trying out its okay.

Don’t even have this in Manchester

Tiny but really cool cafe with plenty of options. We had Pan Au Chocolate, croissant, cinnamon swirl, creamy cashew latte and an egg coffee which is the first time I’ve seen a vegan egg coffe in Vietnam

Pros: Only vegan egg coffee in Vietnam , First proper vegan bakes we’ve had in SEA

Finally vegan pastries

Such a great feeling when you can choose what you want 🥐🍰🥧🌱

💰 Prices for pastries are really fair! Coffee is a bit more

🥐 Pain au Chocolate and croissants will be warmed up when ordered. Pain of chocolate could be bir more creamy but we came late in the afternoon so maybe I'm the morning they are bit more fresh.

🥐 Plain Croissant (20k VND) - 0,80$
🍫🥐 Pain au Chocolat (30k VND) - 1,20$
☕ Cashew Latte (48k VND) - 1,80$

Would definitely come again!
