Cute vegan bakery - Edit
After many years, I finally made it to Liever Hier and it did not disappoint! A bit off the beaten track for anyone not living/staying in Amsterdam Noord (area), this place is definitely worth going out of your way for. It's all vegan, all cute and all tasty. I tried the croissant and bread pudding pie (something completely new to me) and both were delicious and great. I had a spirulina smoothie which was also very tasty. They also serve many coffees. The atmosphere is fantastic, but especially in good weather. Right across from the bakery there is a big stretch of nature and grass, there are picnic tables you can sit at, and they have blankets you can use. Overall its a very, very nice place and when you can you should totally stop by here. Staff is also very friendly.

Read moreFirst of all, the coffee and (homemade) cakes are sooooo delicious! The decor itself is super cute (reminds me a bit of the aesthetics from the ‘white lotus’ series).
It’s also right in front of a canal/park so when the weather is nice you can sit outside.
It’s just so chill, in such a quiet pretty area.. couldn’t recommend more.
Check the cafés schedule though, it’s not always open.
Oh lots of gluten free options too.

Klein, schattig koffie/taarttentje met veel aanloop uit de buurt. Mooie omgeving, denk dat t vooral als de zon schijnt het heerlijk is om buiten te zitten!

Adorbs, beautiful locals vegan cafe - Edit
This is a beautiful vegan café set in a beautiful area with a view of the water and bucolic trees and forest, it doesn't even feel like you are in Amsterdam. 
Read moreIt has amazing vegan pastries and cakes and vegan croissants but if you are not in a diet busting mood, they also have a delicious porridge with spiced apples and raisins and nuts. The sandwiches are good but if you do not like sweet sandwiches (as I don't) the two sandwiches (pulled bbq jackfruit or chickpea salad) might not be for you. But regardless it is an exceptional experience, wonderful staff, beautiful atmosphere although because it is a local place there can often be quite a few children running around. 
And please note that they are only open Friday through Sunday closed during the week .

A wonderful place in a lovely quiet part of Amsterdam North. Many locals come here for a coffee, chai-latte, matcha and cake. I would especially recommend the chai-latte and carrot cake. ❤️ it’s a delight to have many options to choose from - all vegan.

Hidden gem along the most picturesque part of the Nieuwendammerdijk. A perfect stop on a bike ride to Durgerdam. And best of all: everything is vegan!
