Bakery run by 2 sisters. Makes a few vegan items such as the peanut butter cups, peppermint patties, and a lemon cupcake. Open Mon-Thu 7:00am-10:00pm, Fri-Sat 7:00am-12:00am, Sun 7:00am-10:00pm.
My mom brought me a cupcake from here. It was really good. Moist and fresh! I will definitely be making a trip myself soon to try the other options that I saw on their menu.
They had maybe five or six vegan options with a nice variety. I particularly loved the lemon cupcake, which reminded me more of like a pound cake. It was rich and delicious. The thumbprint cookie was also tasty. The only thing I didn’t love was the peppermint patty. It was ok, but the texture was a little odd. Overall I was really happy to find a bakery with vegan items after being disappointed at the “oldest bakery in Texas” which had absolutely nothing vegan.
For food they had lemon cupcakes, apricot and raspberry almond thumbprint cookies, and peanut butter cups; and for drinks they had almond and oat milk.
We got an oat milk latte, hibiscus lemonade, a lemon cupcake, and one of each thumbprint cookie. Prices were fair and everything was great! Only 4/5 bc it would be great to see more savory options as well. Would recommend!
They have 5 vegan options and all 5 are delish. https://thenbjournal.com/5-vegan-treats-you-gotta-try-at-2tarts/ they also have vegetarian breakfast items occasionally, and substitute milks for coffee. Great environment and the owners do care about the vegan movement.
Edit: they actually have 6 options now (apricot thumbprint) and there are rumors of a 7th coming!
When I last went they had vegan peanut butter cups, peppermint patties, and some vegan almond cookies with raspberry jam that they just pulled out of the oven. From what I understand they also sometimes have lemon cupcakes that are vegan. The staff was very friendly and make a great almond milk latte. Hoping to see more vegan-friendly options here in the future.
