Vegan donuts!

Best vegan donuts in town, the Maple, French Toast, Marion Berry are all GREAT and vegan by default (I think… double check when you get them).

They recently upgraded and added a little seating area as well as coffee and drinks😄

Pros: Clearly labeled, Affordable, Nice place

Disappointed

Super disappointed
Spent nearly $30 for 6 donuts that were completely incorrect and all I got in response was sometimes DoorDash has the wrong pictures!!!
Pretty much an “oh well” I am a paying customer… I visit my daughter only a couple times a month as I am busy, she lives in Salem and I work and live in Portland… I live to see her smile… To see the disappointment on her face before I had to rush to Portland was disheartening
If there is a problem with DoorDash posting the two can hash it out… I mean for that damn price do the customer right, not leave them fuming for some crappy overpriced regular donuts!!!!

Pros: Donuts have sugar, Presentation , Bakery

Cons: Service, Wrong order, Attitude

You're complaining about getting ripped off on DoorDash; Dough Hook isn't in full control of how they handle the drivers.

Worth every calorie!

Quite a lot of vegan options today, including maple, French toast, marionberry, grandma's hot chocolate, toasted coconut. Went with the maple and French toast, which were both very fresh and huge. One doughnut is plenty, definitely worth the stop, even though the location is kinda sketchy.

Pros: Many vegan choices, Doughnuts are huge

Cons: Neighborhood is super sketch

Luscious vegan doughnuts

Great selection, including seasonal favorites like pumpkin spice sugared raised doughnuts and apple fritters glazed with cider. The maple glazed doughnuts have real maple syrup. I bought two doughnuts and couldn’t eat them both, they are so large, and I didn’t get to try the passion fruit — can’t wait to go back!

Pros: Great selection early in the day, Friendly helpful staff, Easy to find

Cons: Pricy but worth it - they’re huge

Off the hook!

Of the eight vegan doughnuts, I chose French Toast (maple glaze, cinnamon, and powdered sugar). It was divine.

Pros: vegan doughnuts marked with *, parking

Cons: no seating

Glorious

I absolutely love these vegan doughnuts. My only gripe is they run out of their vegan doughnuts quickly in the morning so I often miss out on flavours or getting anything entirely as they don't make more of the vegan ones until the next morning it seems. So far I've had the luck to try their hot cocoa, maple, and toasted coconut flavours as well as their vegan conchas.

Vegan Donuts

All were delicious. Apple fritters we're everyone's favorite. Will definitely go back. All the rest were basically the same texture/recipe with the different flavors on top. Maple was my favorite of those!

Pros: Clearly marked with *

Cons: More expensive for a dozen then non vegan donuts, Not 100% vegan

I would give it 5 stars if I could!

They have always had at least 2 vegan doughnuts when I’ve visited, sometimes as many as 6. Never had one I didn’t like. These are all raised doughnuts, very fluffy, great flavor. I would give this 5 stars if Happy Cow would let me but they only allow 5 stars to vegan places only which is unfortunate. Great places w vegan options need to be rewarded!

Finally! A big, fluffy vegan doughnut!

Dough Hook makes the best vegan doughnuts, and the owner Lupe is happy to do so. They make their vegan doughnuts first, then their regular doughnuts as not to cross contaminate, or mix ingredients. She offers three flavors (and is always trying more), Marionberry Hibiscus, Peanut Butter, a new flavor and my favorite, Chocolate Habanero with sea salt. Get there early, the vegan doughnuts sell out fast! And they’re the same price as regular doughnuts, not the usual vegan upcharge. On occasion they bake vegan Conchas, but I have yet to be lucky enough to catch them on Concha Day.
Lupe is so friendly, always smiling, and happy to chat. She even gave me bread baking tips during my last visit.
I believe they are also at the Farmer’s Market downtown, and Broadway Coffeehouse now offers Dough Hook baked goods as well
It is great to finally find a big, fluffy, vegan doughnut that’s not a gluten free cake doughnut. (Vegan does not equal gluten free, and vice versa).

Pros: Big, fluffy vegan doughnuts, Friendly

Cons: Vegan doughnuts sell out fast
