A most enjoyable evening - Edit
1916 was an experience to remember, from the food to the service, I couldn’t fault a thing. Vegetarian items are clearly marked on the menu and the staff (especially Suhail!) was very accomodating with making most of the veggie dishes vegan. Yummo!

VEGAN - Edit
I came just for the Vegan falafel and sadly there is no falafel. One of the comments said Vegan pizza. It took a couple of minutes to explain no cheese…lol. At first he said not possible but I managed to get the Veg pizza with no cheese and extra tomato sauce. The crust is made with no dairy which is a plus.

Vegan thali - Edit
Restaurant is a bit hidden. It is a nice place to get out of the crowd. The owner helped us with the booking of an Uber because the driver was not able to speak English. Service was quick, but we were the only two persons in the restaurant (we went very early). Food tasted nice. Breads served by the thali were a bit dry.

Don't go there!! - Edit
MORE THAN ONE HOUR. It took them more than one hour and multiple complains from us to realize that they didn't even start cooking our meals. They came with a smile and silly excuse, trying to sell us their already made thali (if they couldn't cook what we ordered, they could have said directly!). There was just a few customers. Ridiculous. We were too patient, should have left sooner, time wasted.

This place is a bit hidden it feels like and oasis in the madness of Varanasi, they have local and western food. We only tried the local food but it was great, the staff was very kind, made some great recommendations and understood vegan, they made us some parathas without butter and recommended some vegan curries

The stuff is very kind, and the place is a oasis in Varanasi.

Amazing restaurant and hotel managed for a very kind indian family. The restaurant is so nice and very familiar. Vengan food is so deliciuos, speacially vegan pizza. It is an oasis in the middle of the crazy Varanasi. Love it!
