Good malatang and tea

I ate here with my family of omnivores. Ordering vegan was clear and easy through the QR system. Vegan broth clearly labeled. The soup was flavorful and at medium spice was very delightful. It would be nice if they had some novelty proteins in addition to the tofu (nice spongy texture- like it had been frozen). Mushrooms, corn, and a knot of seaweed created a lovely plate and interesting meal, it was a bit heavy on the cabbage, though. I enjoyed the side of vermicelli - it was all in a lump, but softened when dumped in my soup. I suppose that’s how it must be. I had iron rose goddess tea with grass jelly and soymilk. 35% sugar was just right. Lovely refreshment. The staff were very friendly and attentive, a nice touch considering phone-based ordering. I was hoping for scallion pancakes but they were not available. 🫤 The omnivores were all very happy. Good choice for a mixed crowd but without more vegan offerings not someplace I’d go with a party of vegans.

Pros: The one vegan option was yummy, Easy vegan ordering, Soymilk boba teas

Cons: Not many options

Extremely underwhelming

Incredibly bland veggie soup (got vegan spicy broth), nothing we ordered tasted seasoned. We also ordered garlic greens beans and the garlic tasted raw and sharp and unsalted, and the nori fries, which were unsalted and had a tiny pinch of dried nori in a massive plate (also unsalted), I dont like seaweed and couldn't taste it on any fries. AND they didn't have taro boba tea😒very disappointing

Meh… bland…

Got the Veggie Malatang. You have to specify vegan broth. The veggies seemed fresh but the soup was very bland. I was starving and as “hunger makes the best sauce” I have to assume that it would have even less flavor if I was normal hungry. Also really disliked the ordering system. It would be nice to have a balance between technology and human interaction. That said, other people in the party thought better of the food…

Pros: Fresh vegetables

Cons: Bland , Can only order through phone even if dining in

Boba

Just here to review the boba. Honestly it’s my favorite in Seattle. Their standard soy milk powder makes a delicious creamy milk tea, and the boba is always perfect texture.
