Absolutely beautiful - Edit
I come to Brighton every year for my birthday, and I’ve visited this cafe for breakfast every single time- they have such delicious options and are happy to let you swap out/add extras to your chosen meal. Lovely staff, they even gave me a cheeky free delicious slice of lemon drizzle as they found out it was my birthday 🥰

Pancakes were tasty, I asked for maple syrup which made them even better. Very friendly service and cosy interior.

Damn good coffee - Edit
We had the vegan English breakfast and burnt leak spaghetti. The spaghetti was amazing, so was the English breakfast. However the tofu scramble was a bit dry and lacked seasoning. The coffee was delicious. Really nice atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Would highly recommend. Great cafe in the lanes. You have to try the pitta plate! More than half the options are vegan!

Cute cafe with lots of choice - Edit
A really cute little place in the lanes offering a few different vegan options including pancakes, breakfast burrito, full breakfast etc. We had the plant breakfasts which were really good! They had vegan cakes/sweet treats behind the counter and multiple non-dairy milks for coffee so loads of options to choose from. Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere too 😊

Brilliant service and absolutely delicious breakfast. I had the plant based wrap and it was the best I've had. The tofu was perfectly scrambled, I'll definitely be back!

Cute and stylish cafe tucked away in the centre of town. Staff offered me a swap when I asked for something to be left off a dish. Delicious food and super cosy setting.

Great Coffee and Food - Edit
Sought this place out as it was close to our hotel and my friend wanted to eat non-vegan food so it suited us both. It's quite a small place but despite being lunchtime on our visit there was plenty of choice for seats and the food was served quickly.
Read moreThere are a few vegan bakes which are marked up with a v (ask for them to be sure). There are also quite a few vegan options marked through the menu including a plant breakfast and pancakes. I had the pancakes which were really good, they had a coconut yoghurt and mango topping.
My daughter loved the croissant, it was huge. I didn't think she'd eat all of it but she clearly loved it as she ate every last bite.
Coffee was also really good and they have oat milk.
Popular with people working.
I'd definitely go back next time to try the breakfast.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Yummy pancakes, Cute, modern place
Cons: Not all vegan

Incredible coffee (pea and oat available for dairy-free milk) and great food. The atmosphere is also great, and the staff are always very friendly and happy to answer any questions.

Excellent breakfast - Edit
In the listings 17 Grams was described as a hip hangout, and this was for us (on the wrong side of our 30s) not a plus point. But the food sounded just grand and it was a convenient location, especially in the rain, so we went there anyway. Yes, it's pretty hip. Did we feel out of place? Not a bit. Very relaxed atmosphere with fab choices of album covers for decor. Intimately-sized and busy - we nabbed the last seats - but not overcrowded. Lovely friendly staff and OMG the food was amazing! We each had a plant-based breakfast and it was the second best breakfast I've ever had (the first best being the unbeatable Loaf in Berwick when it was still a BnB). Ok, 17 Grams is not cheap but for two hungry visitors the portion size was generous and everything was fresh and done to perfection with bags of flavour. Hot drinks could have been hotter. I'm firmly a tea drinker but my partner's coffee was so good even I liked it. Definitely recommended.

They were lovely in there though and would go again I would just be aware of this if you're in a rush or on a budget, but definitely worth a try as very tasty ♥️
Pros: Nice breakfast , Outdoor seating also , Friendly staff
Cons: Expensive , Long time for food to come out

Had the vegan fry up, wasn’t the best I had (a little bland) but not bad either. Lovely little place, friendly staff, would come again but maybe order something else.

Proper Filter Coffee! - Edit
They have vegan options for every dish. The pancakes are vegan anyway, and are really good. But the best thing for me is that you don't have to have Italian coffee - the filter coffee was excellent

Delicious vegan full English - Edit
The food here is impeccable, it's soo perfect. We ordered the vegan full English and half expected the hummus to be brought in and the beans to be Heinz, so amazing to find out both are homemade and 10000% better and delicious 😊 definitely recommend!
