It's been two decades, now going on 21 years, since we began this little project called HappyCow. Our mission was simple: help fellow veg*ans find reliable eats + support veg businesses. We've come far, thanks to support from partners and friends like you.

What We've Accomplished

Despite the challenges faced by those of us in the travel- and restaurant-related industries in 2020, our team has pushed on...
We added:
• member interest tags
• user privacy settings
• sitewide search from header
• app menu cards for map marker annotations
• access for business owners to manage listings
• website's own map tiles server using OpenStreetMap
• capability for you write reviews & add photos while submitting listings to the site
We improved:
• the member search
• chat with instant messaging
• main Explore screen with a map/list split in the apps
• overall site + app performance
We created partnerships with:
• Doordash and Ubereats with menus for ordering
• Toyota & Lexus North America to integrate HappyCow's guide into the Destination Assist feature on select 2020 models
