Hi everyone. I hope your guys are holding on to the spirit of Veganism. The journey is easy for some, tough for others. However, the most important thing is to keep thinking about it. For starters like myself, the whole idea was very concerning. I could not stop thinking about it. Watching YouTube videos was the most awakeing thing I had felt in my adult life. Among many great concepts and practices of life taught by our parents, eating choices is the one only some reconsider, not from a health standpoint but from an ethics one. Last year I only had the chance to remain strictly vegan for one month but choked up after that thanks to the culture, family, limited vegan food choices in the market and ofcourse, my weak sense of commitment (yes I’ll take the blame too). I let whole idea slide away as I couldn’t tackle other problems in life in parallel with the challenges of veganism. But as I gather strength, I guess I am ready again for the whole thing, right after one whole year. In my opinion, one’s strength alone is not enough when they are making difficult life choices such as veganism. Teaming up in a social group can really help changing things in a consistent and impactful way. It’s great that apps like this exist. Makes my search in the right direction much easier. Cheers.
