Riffel is a family winery in Germany's famous wine growing area Rheinhessen. Located at the confluence of Rhein and Nahe rivers in Bingen am Rhein, the winery has been run by Carolin and Erik Riffel since 2005 in the forth generation. The winery follows organic principles since 2009 and converted to biodynamic viticulture in 2012. Riffel owns 18 hectares of vineyards and produce Riesling, Silvaner and Burgunder in top sites: the Grand Cru vineyards Scharlachberg and Kirchberg, Rosengarten Osterberg and Bubenstück. Quartzite Soils lend the wines a unique character with an intense minerality. All vines are vegan.
