I am fairly new to the Vegan community, only a little over a year now. There were many contributing factors with my choice; ethical, health and environmental. I am an Army wife that is a nurse at an Army hospital with two teens, all of whom are still omnivores, so it makes it hard sometimes. My husband is in Iraq at this moment but when he comes home, I informed him that he can handle the prep and cooking of meat based meals for himself and the kids, because I don't want to. So we'll see how it goes! :)
