I was the president of the Chicago Vegetarian Society in the 1980s, and published a dining guide in 1980 called the Chicago Green Pages. I became an ethical vegetarian at age 13. I'm a good amateur cook. Although I am grounded currently by the pandemic, I am a professional singer and klezmer bandleader.
