Hello! Sorry for you experience at Lá. From what I remembered you came to our place when it was already dark outside and really near closing time to get some take-away, but the light of the building wasn't on (it wasn't control by us) so I think that's why you find our place hard and a little spooky. For us Hanoians it's a natural and interesting thing to come in small alleys or up the old apartment buildings because it's how locals do it, but I do understand your point :) To answer you and to warn people in advance, we have a very hyper pup at our cafe, he is a part of our family. He barks at strangers especially kids as dogs do, and play-bites when he gets excited (he gets time-out when he goes overboard and annoys our customers too much), but he never intentionally "attack" anyone. When you let him sniff you for a bit he will get friendly :) I hope you can come back to our cafe someday in daytime to fully experience what we have to offer!
