Sorry to hear you were disappointed by your food. Did you know that literally means exactly? So whey you say you waited literal years, it doesn't make sense. You felt like you waited years, but you literally waited minutes. So you could say "I waited literally half an hour for my food" to explain that it was exactly half an hour, it did not just feel like half an hour. If you want to emphasize the length of time, you could say "I waited practically years," or "I waited virtually years." Literally is not the word you are looking for. I hope you like the food next time. xxxxx
