It was remiss of me to refer only to the slaughter of animals for their flesh rather than also considering the death that occurs in other parts of the industry, even if I was just making a brief remark. I also agree that any business that is not vegan should not be eligible for five stars. This is the least acknowledgment HC can make to animal abuse and death. I think you’ll concede some non-vegan businesses are more problematic than others. My point was more that sometimes it seems HC reviews become so focused on cuisine that the consideration of animal ethics goes out the window.
