Hi Moose, Thank you for the review. I am delighted to know you enjoyed our food. And yes, you are absolutely correct when you wrote that we do not use any mock meat at all because we make our dishes from scratch with whole foods. Our prices reflect the quality ingredients we use and the labor and love it takes to make everything from scratch. My kitchen staff are constantly washing, chopping, peeling, blending, baking, sautéing, roasting, simmering, boiling, grating, kneading, etc. It takes a lot of work and a lot of staff to put a dish together from scratch. Also, I'm sure you are aware of the extremely high gas prices and the rising food costs. Our farmers and vendors are passing those costs onto us. Some restaurants are and have been adding a "COVID," "Supply Increase Fee," or "To-go container" charge to every order. At St.Veg, we do not believe in hidden charges so we do not charge anything other than the required Montgomery County bag fee. We want to be upfront and transparent as possible with our customers. Hopefully our customers can see the value in the quality food and service we provide.
