Tap water "like in many other countries"... Yepp, in countries, where customers order bottles of wine (especially Italy!) and not like in Germany just want to sip water because they can't actually afford to eat out. The drinks is actually where (in Germany) the money needs to be made to pay bills. Or what would you do as a landlord if you came up and gave him a nice thank-you instaed of hard currency? Maybe he or she will accept a hand written poem,...
