I've never expected restaurants to give my son free stuff on his birthday. br /> Some nice restaurants may go the distance and give a free icecream, etc. But its definitely not normal. br /> otherwise most people would say "its my kids birthday" at every restaurant they go to. (seems like the system would get abused). br /> but really, I think its unfair to 'expect' free stuff just because its your sons birthday. br /> I have no idea what your profession is, but imagine if your customer said "its my birthday" and got upset if you didnt give him something worth 10% of what he is spending with you.
