Look no further than this seven-course plant-based Christmas menu which I’ve thoughtfully curated for you. No matter where you are in the world, most of these ingredients should be easy enough to source.

Happy cooking!

APPETISERS

1. Roasted Garlic and Red Pepper Hummus
By Pick Up Limes

Plant-Based Christmas Menu

You can’t go wrong with hummus! And this recipe takes it to the next level. The caramelised red peppers and garlic add a subtle yet distinctive sweetness to this flavour-packed hummus, which you can serve as a starter along with bread and crudités. Hearty, colourful, flavourful!

2. Vegan Stuffed Mushrooms
By From My Bowl

These little umami-bombs are some of the most satisfying finger foods out there! What’s not to LOVE about pairing juicy, roasted mushrooms with a filling that is both crunchy and creamy?! This appetizer has it all.

Here’s another idea: You can even mix-and-match the above recipes and stuff some of the mushrooms with the red pepper hummus! There’s always room to improvise. 😉

SOUP

3. 5-Ingredient Green Pea Soup
By Vibrant Plate

Plant-Based Christmas Menu

Since this plant-based Christmas menu is fairly elaborate, you definitely want to keep some of the menu items simple and totally fuss-free! So, here you go: This green pea soup recipe requires only 5 basic ingredients and makes a luxurious, creamy, delicious and healthy soup in minutes. Serve with breadsticks!

MAIN COURSE

4. Spiced Baked Cauliflower with Spicy Lentils
By Lauren Caris Cooks

Plant-Based Christmas Menu

You want your vegan Christmas dinner main dish to be the star of the table, with zero compromises on flavour and quality, right? Well, try out this recipe! It is so glorious it will have anyone coming back for seconds!

Sitting on a bed of thick, spicy, creamy lentils, this spiced cauliflower is bursting with flavour and is complex in texture—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The lentils are gently spiced and “intensely tomato-ey”, making the dish full and hearty. Serve with a side of herbed rice or bread (or both!).

DESSERT

5. Gingerbread Millionaires Bars
By The Little Blog of Vegan

Plant-Based Christmas Menu

Gingerbread in December is always a classic! If you’re looking for a refreshing and new take on the usual gingerbread recipes out there, these vegan gingerbread millionaires bars might be the answer you’re looking for.

A little tip: This recipe calls for vegan condensed milk. Now I know it’s not that easy to find in stores. So, here is a super easy, 2-ingredient recipe for coconut condensed milk!

CHEESE

6. Hickory Smoked Aged Vegan Cheese
By Full of Plants

Plant-Based Christmas Menu

Smoky aged vegan cheese and crackers—could there be any better way to top off a festive feast?! Whether you smoke this cheese or not, be assured it tastes fabulous. I can personally vouch for it as I’ve made it many times!

A little tip: Start preparing this cheese well in advance (I would say at least a week or two) so it gets enough time to age before making its appearance at your dinner table!

BEVERAGE

7. Vegan Baileys Irish Cream
By Hot for Food

This vegan Baileys Irish Cream recipe is quick and easy, and makes a rich, creamy, familiar beverage that’s perfect for sipping, or even for gifting! I know there’s now a vegan Baileys Irish Cream out there, but if you want to give the homemade version a shot, you will not be disappointed as it’s so close to the original! Besides, you get to say you made it yourself! 🙂
