You are welcome \ud83d\ude09<\/p><\/div>\n<h2>Biscuits and Mushroom Gravy<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Serves 4-6 people<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Gluten free<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Nut free<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Soy free if using soy free Earth Balance buttery spread and omit the soy sauce<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Biscuits<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">3\/4 cup coconut milk<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1\/4 cup water<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1 cup tapioca flour (130g)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1 cup rice flour (170g)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">2 teaspoons baking powder (10g)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1\/2 teaspoon baking soda (4g)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1\/4 teaspoon salt<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1\/2 \u00a0tablespoon dried basil (2g)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1 teaspoon dried dill<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">3 Tablespoons cold Earth Balance buttery spread \u00a0(45g)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Place butter in the freezer for at least 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Lightly oil a baking sheet or place a piece of parchment paper over the baking sheet.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Combine coconut milk, water and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl and set aside.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In a medium size bowl, add rice flour, tapioca starch, baking powder, baking soda, salt, dried basil and dried dill. Gently stir to combine.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Add cold buttery spread to flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or two knives to incorporate. Don\u2019t overmix, it will lead to hard biscuits.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Pour in the coconut milk\/apple cider mixture and stir until just combined.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Place 1 heaping tablespoon of batter (45g) at a time on a baking sheet and cook for 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Makes 12 biscuits<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Gravy<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1\/4 cup Earth Balance buttery spread (40g)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1\/2 yellow onion, diced (135g)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">4 large garlic cloves, minced<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">5 cups mushrooms, sliced (365g)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1\/2 teaspoon dried thyme<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1\/2 teaspoon dried marjoram<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1 teaspoon dried basil<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1 teaspoon salt<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1\/4 cup rice flour (40g)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">2 cups of water (475ml)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">1 Tablespoon soy sauce<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">5 turns fresh black pepper<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Melt Earth Balance in a large skillet and saute the onions and garlic for 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Add mushrooms, thyme, marjoram, basil and salt and cook for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally so that mushrooms don\u2019t stick to the bottom of the pan.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In a small mixing bowl add the water and the rice flour and whisk to combine.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Slowly add water mixture to the mushrooms and stir to combine.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Add soy sauce and cook on low for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally until gravy thickens.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Pour warm gravy over warm biscuits.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b id=\"internal-source-marker_0.681921707931906\">Molly Patrick\u00a0<\/b>has worked in the vegan food realm since 2003.
