Vegan Ranch Dressing

Vegan Ranch Dressing
A dressing truly makes the salad, and this homemade Vegan Ranch Dressing will do just that.

Homemade dressing is so much fresher tasting and delicious than anything you can find in a bottle…even if it is vegan.

Not only super on salad, this dressing is a great one to have on hand as a sauce for Easy Vegan Bowls, and to add a special touch to main dishes. I recently drizzled some of this over homemade gumbo, and it paired beautifully with the spiciness of the gumbo.  Next up, I am going to try a little of it over Salad Bagels…which I will talk about in an upcoming post.

You can play around with the ingredients (more or less spices and herbs) and you can play around with the thickness (by adding more or less soy milk)…this recipe is very flexible.

VEGAN RANCH DRESSING

Ingredients:
½ C. soy milk
¾ t. apple cider vinegar
1 C. vegan mayonnaise (preferably Vegenaise)
½ C. vegan sour cream
¼ t. onion granules
½ t. garlic powder
Pinch of sweetener
1 ½ T. fresh chives
1 T. fresh Italian parsley
¾ t. salt (or to taste)
¼ t. black pepper (or to taste)

Directions:
Pour the soy milk into a small bowl and add the vinegar.  Set aside for a few minutes, until the vinegar curdles the soy milk.  In a blender add the remaining ingredients.  Add soy milk and vinegar mixture to the blender.  Blend and enjoy.
